sk factor for suicide.

Despite remarkable progress in the reduction of maternal mortality, postpartum depression remains a major public health problem among vulnerable populations. In Ethiopia, study findings regarding postpartum depression and its association with intimate partner violence and social support have been inconsistent. Therefore, this systematic review and meta-analysis estimate the pooled prevalence of postpartum depression and its association with intimate partner violence and inadequate social support in Ethiopia.

We systematically searched international databases like PubMed, Web of Science, SCOPUS, CINAHL, PsycINFO, Google Scholar, Science Direct, and the Cochrane Library. All identified observational studies reporting the postpartum depression and or its predictors in Ethiopia were included. CUDC-101 HDAC inhibitor Two authors independently extracted all necessary data using a standardized data extraction format. The I

statistics were used to assess the heterogeneity of the studies. A random-effects model was computed to estimateia are suffering from postpartum depression. Intimate partner violence and social support should be a major focus to improve women's mental health during postpartum period with the reduction of substance abuse. There is an urgent need for concerted efforts in the reduction of postpartum depression through prevention efforts of intimate partner violence and substance abuse.

Our study indicates that two in every ten postpartum women in Ethiopia are suffering from postpartum depression. Intimate partner violence and social support should be a major focus to improve women's mental health during postpartum period with the reduction of substance abuse. There is an urgent need for concerted efforts in the reduction of postpartum depression through prevention efforts of intimate partner violence and substance abuse.Previous ecological momentary assessment (EMA) research in children has suggested that emotional dysregulation problems are commonly associated with ADHD symptoms and may help explain their relatively strong co-occurrence with anxiety and depression (collectively referred to as 'internalising problems'); however, this has yet to be replicated for adults. In this study, we used data from a n=260 longitudinal cohort and EMA study, to evaluate the hypothesis that emotional dysregulation mediates the association between ADHD symptoms and internalising problems in emerging adulthood. Emotional dysregulation was based on affect data collected in near real time and in ecological context over a 14-day period, providing a measure of emotional lability in the context of participants' daily lives. Cross-sectional mediation was tested using structural equation modelling. Emotional lability significantly mediated the association between ADHD symptoms and internalising problems. Results suggest that interventions that address the emotional dysregulation aspects of ADHD are likely to be beneficial for preventing and managing secondary internalising symptoms.

Studies on prevalence and factors associated with postpartum posttraumatic stress (PTS) typically do not distinguish between PTS related to childbirth (PTS-C) and PTS related to other stressors (PTS-O). This study aimed to describe the prevalence, clinical characteristics, and factors associated with PTS-C and PTS-O in postpartum women.

The study was a cross-sectional population-based survey of 16,000 postpartum women, selected at random from birth registrations in England to receive a postal questionnaire, including the Primary Care Posttraumatic Stress Disorder Screen.

Questionnaires were returned by 4,509 women. The median age was 32 years (IQR=29-36), 64% were married, 77% were UK-born, and 76% were White-British. Prevalence of PTS-C was 2.5% (95%CI2.0-3.0) and prevalence of PTS-O was 6.8% (95%CI6.0-7.8). Women with PTS-C were significantly more likely to report re-experiencing symptoms (Chi-Square=7.69,p<0.01). Factors associated with PTS-C were higher level of deprivation, not having a health p awareness among health professionals of prevalence, clinical characteristics and factors associated with postpartum PTS-C and PTS-O will aid the development of appropriate management protocols to identify and support women during the perinatal period. Posttraumatic stress, posttraumatic stress disorder, postpartum PTSD/PTS, birth-related PTSD/PTS, birth trauma, perinatal mental health.

As social media platforms become commonplace in daily life, online peer support groups have become an increasingly popular resource for people living with physical and mental health issues. Although the benefits of using online peer support groups have been well documented, there can be also be significant risks associated with groups hosted on social media platforms. People living with obsessive-compulsive related disorders may be particularly vulnerable to negative experiences in such groups.

Using a mixed-methods approach, the aim of the current study was to identify the predictors of negative experiences among people who used social media peer support groups for obsessive-compulsive and related disorders.

Results indicated that barriers to treatment and quality of "offline" interpersonal support predicted users' negative experiences in social media peer support groups for obsessive-compulsive and related disorders. Thematic analysis suggested that the contributing factors towards participants' negative experiences included (1) confronting content; (2) misinformation; (3) preoccupation with symptoms; (4) social comparison; and (5) hopelessness about recovery prospects.

It was concluded that using social media peer support groups for obsessive-compulsive and related disorders, without adequate support structures in place, can pose users at the risk of negative experiences. Further research is necessary to gain a deeper understanding of how to enhance positive experiences and protect against the possible risks for users of unmoderated online peer support groups.
