Atopic dermatitis (AD) is a chronic inflammatory skin disease that affects approximately 20% of children and 10% of adults. The implication of vaccines as a trigger for the de novo onset of AD in children or as a cause of exacerbation in individuals with a history of AD has long been debated. We present a brief review of the literature on AD and traditional vaccinations, proposing in addition the main recommendations for the management of patients with AD undergoing the vaccine against the SARS-COV-2 virus. Live attenuated vaccines seem to be associated with a relapse of AD and/or complications, such as eczema vaccinatum. For non-live vaccines, no adverse events are noted in atopic subjects. Since the Covid-19 vaccine is mRNA or viral vectored vaccine and there are no other currently used vaccines of this type, the same recommendations are applied as for all other non-live vaccines.India, the second-most populous country in the world, is struggling with the second wave of the COVID-19 triggered by SARS-CoV-2. This letter aims to highlight the necessity of the vaccine certificate during nationwide traveling to prevent further waves of the COVID-19 in the different states of India. Such policies have already been in existence for international travel termed as vaccine passports. The compulsory vaccine certificates need to be in existence to prevent the rapid spread of the COVID-19 as well as the future waves of this pandemic in India. There is an urgent need forStandard Operating Procedure (SOP) on preventive measures to control the spread of COVID-19 nationwide by including the vaccine certificate for domestic travel between the cities and states.Currently, many companies around the world are actively developing COVID-19 vaccines. Fourteen vaccines with reliable safety and effectiveness are being successfully distributed to the public. However, there is no specific clinical trial data of the vaccines currently on the market on cancer patients at various stages, so the safety and effectiveness on cancer patients is unknown. This mini-review aims to discuss the impact of COVID-19 on cancer patients, and the urgent need of COVID-19 vaccines for cancer patients. In this review, we described the current status of the COVID-19 vaccine usages in cancer patients, as well as discussed potential problems in the use of vaccine. In addition, we included an original survey of the acceptance of the COVID-19 vaccines in 209 cancer patients and their family members. COVID-19 vaccine can provide cancer patients with social and medical benefits; therefore, clinical trials of vaccines on cancer patients are in great need. There is a need for psychometrically sound outcome measures for treatment studies that have a low burden for families and that are available in multiple languages. We have developed a language assessment in English and Spanish that parents can administer to their children at home via telehealth-delivered procedures. The current case study presents descriptive data on a single family of two parent-child dyads. Both the mother and father from a single family were trained in their primary language (Spanish) on how to administer the Expressive Language Sampling - Narration (ELS-N) in their secondary language (English) to their two English-speaking monolingual sons with ASD through telehealth-delivered procedures. Both parents learned to administer the procedures to a predetermined level of fidelity. Extension to a larger sample of bilingual families is needed for this home-based, parent-administered test; however, the present results suggest feasibility even when the language of training and administration differ. Objectives To better understand the impact of visitor restrictions on nursing home residents and their families as well as strategies and actions that were conducted in nursing homes during the COVID-19 pandemic. Methods A scoping review was carried out in October 2020. Several electronic databases were used Cochrane Plus, Scopus, Web of Sciences and PubMed. 725 results were identified. We included 10 articles. Results Thematic analysis obtained the following categories the impact of COVID-19 on nursing home residents' lives and their families, procedures and frameworks of nursing homes during and after lockdown, and solutions and resources implemented by health care professionals to improve the connection between older people and their families. Conclusions Visitor restrictions have a high impact on the health and well-being of older adults' and their families. The main strategies and solutions employed to reduce social isolation and facilitate the communication between older adults' and their families were the use of information and communication technologies, family support groups, and the assignment of reference staff to each family.Clinical implications The strategies and solutions mentioned should be internationally considered by health care providers in nursing homes to improve connections between family and older adults.Animal studies have reported the use of different opioid-vaccine formulations with relative success These studies have suggested that new opioid-vaccine formulations are required, which are capable of triggering a robust humoral response. One strategy that has been used is the co-administration of two or more vaccines with different but complementary properties, which are capable of generating a robust immune response. We have developed two formulations of opioid-vaccine, the M6-TT, and M3-TT, which generate a robust immune response capable of recognizing heroin and morphine. In this work, we evaluate the combination of two vaccine formulations, which we call the M3/6-TT vaccine, to elicit a robust immune response and protection against heroin and morphine. Balb/c mice were immunized simultaneously with M6-TT vaccine and with M3-TT vaccine. read more A solid-phase antibody-capture ELISA was used for monitoring antibody titer responses after each booster dose in vaccinated animals. The study used tail-flick and hot-plate testing to evaluate the antinociceptive effects induced by heroin or morphine. Immunization with M3-TT and M6-TT vaccine elicits a robust immune response with an antibody titer of 1 590 000 able to recognize heroin and morphine. These antibodies are capable of reducing the antinociceptive effects induced by doses of up to 40 mg/Kg. of morphine or 10 mg/kg of heroin. This suggests that the combination of two vaccine formulations that generate antibodies with different but complementary characteristics would be a new therapeutic strategy aimed at reducing drug relapses.
