alth promotion program for this population.Implications for RehabilitationThe Facilitators and Barriers to Physical Activity Scale for People with Mental Illness (i.e., FBPAS-MI) is a valid and reliable assessment to examine key factors affecting physical activity participation among people with severe mental illness.Psychiatric rehabilitation practitioners could use the FBPAS-MI to help develop and tailor individualized physical activity promotion programs based on identified facilitators and barriers to activity. Background Self-injection, particularly of biologics, has become a mainstay of chronic disease management. Despite labeling requirement for healthcare provider (HCP) training, current injection initiation experiences have been shown to be suboptimal. This study characterizes gaps in training and support during initiation and identifies rationales to inform solutions. Methods We enrolled HCPs (n = 18) performing routine biologic initiation and patients (n = 24) currently self-injecting biologics. Participants completed activities through an online, remote ethnography tool. We conducted two focus groups with biologic-naïve patients (n = 5). Data was analyzed using thematic frameworks, Q methodology, and quantitative assessments. Results Our results suggest considerable gaps exist. Analysis revealed five common themes that could explain these gaps 1) minimal biologic-specific professional instruction is provided to HCPs; 2) nuanced injection use-steps are not universally understood; 3) no one stakeholder currently 'owns' training; 4) support offered by HCPs and manufacturers is perceived as biased; and 5) emotional burden is not accounted for. Conclusions Our study suggests optimizing several elements to facilitate successful initiations, including structured sessions, improved HCP injection device knowledge, demo-device practice, and focus on both emotional and mechanical aspects. Aligning these factors has potential to increase patient confidence, reduce burden on HCPs, and improve probability of success on therapy.Vaccinations are among the most successful preventive tools to protect collective health. In response to alarming vaccines preventable diseases (VPDs) outbreaks resurgence, decreased vaccination coverage and vaccine refusal, several European countries have recently revised their vaccination policies introducing or extending mandatory vaccinations. This review examines the health, political and ethical aspects of mandatory vaccination. The authors first clarify terms and definitions and propose a conceptual framework of mandatory policies. Second, they describe the current status of mandatory childhood immunization programmes in Europe, assessing selected mandatory laws. Third, as the authors conduct a systematic review of the literature (retrieving from Medline 17 relevant records between 2010 and 2020), they take an analytical approach to measure the impact of mandatory vaccination policies on both VPDs control and immunization coverage, but also on population attitudes toward vaccines. 40% of European countries currently have mandatory vaccination policies; however, policies vary widely and, although there is evidence of increased vaccine uptake, their impact on informed adherence to preventive behaviors is scant.Although mandatory vaccination policies might be needed to protect collective health in times of emergency, public health goals of VPD prevention and health promotion should primarily be pursued through health education and population empowerment.Intracellular Ca2+ ions as second messenger played key role in cell behaviour, which was often overlooked in traditional antitumor treatment. Disrupting Ca2+ ion homeostasis by Ca2+ overload might switch ions signal from 'regulating' to 'destroying'. Inspired by this, a biomimetic Ca2+ nanogenerator was constructed. Briefly, the curcumin (CUR) was loaded into mesoporous calcium carbonate nanoparticles (MCC NPs), and then coated with platelet (PLT) membrane. Upon reaching tumour cells by PLT membrane-mediated tumour targeting effect, PLT@MCC/CUR would instantaneously decompose in acidic lysosomes, concurrently accompanying with Ca2+ generation and CUR release. The CUR could further facilitate Ca2+ release from endoplasmic reticulum (ER) and inhibit Ca2+ efflux, aggravating Ca2+ overload to disrupt mitochondrial Ca2+ homeostasis for mitochondria apoptosis signalling pathway activation. Interestingly, such effect was ineffective in normal cells, realising the tumour-specific therapeutic therapy. Based on ions interference strategy, PLT@MCC/CUR herein offered synergistic combination of Ca2+ overload therapy and chemotherapy, which would pave the way towards more effective nanotherapeutics. The hydrolysis of organic chemicals such as pesticides, pollutants, or drugs can affect the fate and behaviour of environmental contaminants, so it is of interest to evaluate the stability of substances in water for various purposes. For the registration of organic compounds in Europe, information on hydrolysis must be presented. However, the experimental measurements of all chemicals would require enormous resources, and computational models may become attractive. Applying the CORAL software (http//www.insilico.eu/coral) quantitative structure-property relationships (QSPRs) were built up to model hydrolysis. The 2D-optimal descriptor is calculated with so-called correlation weights for attributes of simplified molecular input-line entry systems (SMILES). The correlation weights are obtained as results of the special Monte Carlo optimization. The nature of (five- and six-member) rings is an important component of this approach. Another important component is the atom pair proportions for nitrogen, oxygen, and sulphur. The statistical quality of the best model is n = 44, r2 = 0.74 (training set); n = 14, r2 = 0.75 (calibration set); and n = 12, r2 = 0.80 (validation set). Background Listening to music is often used as a self-help intervention to improve sleep quality, but its efficacy among individuals without sleep disorder remains unclear. Methods A search was performed on five databases to identify for studies that examined the use of music-based intervention to improve sleep quality among individuals without sleep disorder. Random-effects meta-analysis was performed, and the certainty of evidence was evaluated using GRADE (Grading of Recommendations Assessment, Development and Evaluation). Results Twenty-two articles which recruited 1,514 participants were included for review. find more Meta-analysis of six studies including 424 participants did not find an improvement in sleep quality among recipients of music-based intervention compared to those with standard care (mean difference -0.80; 95% CI -2.15 to 0.54, low-quality evidence). Subgroup analysis showed a clear improvement in sleep quality when interventions were administered for at least 3 weeks (-2.09; -3.84 to -0.34, n = 3). No difference in terms of sleep onset latency (standardized mean difference (SMD) -0.32; 95% CI -0.88 to 0.25, n = 4, very-low quality evidence) and sleep efficiency (SMD -0.59; 95% CI -3.15 to 1.97, n = 2, very-low quality evidence) were observed. The effect of music-based intervention on anxiety, depression and quality of life were mixed with suggestions of possible benefits. Conclusion Music-based intervention in addition to standard care appears to be a promising strategy to improve sleep quality when delivered for 3 week or longer. However, effects are inconsistent across studies and larger randomized controlled studies reporting long-term outcomes are needed before it can be recommended for routine use.PROSPERO registration CRD42018081193.

Action in a football game occurs quickly. Medical staff can miss a sport-related concussion (SRC) if they do not observe it directly. The objective of this study is to determine if SRCs occur more frequently

than

during gameplay. Game-specific concussion statistics can enhance medical provider care of athletes.

We used gameplay videos of an NCAA Division I football program to analyze SRCs and determine the primary tackler or ball handler during each concussion play. We compared the relative risk of SRCs for the primary ball handlers/tacklers to that of the other 10 players on the same team during that play.

Over 10 seasons, 26 SRCs occurred

for the primary ball handler/tackler position (0.22 SRCs/game) versus 16

(0.13 SRCs/game). The relative risk of an SRC according to exposure (

) vs. no exposure (

) was 16.2 (CI 8.7-30.2,

<.05). Special teams had more SRCs

than

, but this was not significant (relative risk 3.32, CI 0.90-12.3,

>.05).

The study provides medical staff guidance to more efficiently identify in-game SRCs and supports evidence for rules changes.

Trauma has long-term effects on those directly exposed to it, but it also impacts those closest to them, particularly one's spouse, as the marital relationship is of central importance for late-life development. Furthermore, traumatic experiences have been shown to be involved in an acceleration of aging, whether through physical health, or via psychological pathways, through an older subjective age. The present work seeks to examine the mutual connections between marital adjustment and the psychological accelerated aging of both spouses among military veterans of the Israeli 1973 Yom Kippur War.

Data from two assessments were drawn from a larger longitudinal study. In 2008 (T1) and again in 2015 (T2), 247 veterans and their wives were interviewed on their subjective age, marital adjustment, and PTSD symptoms.

An actor-partner interdependence model combined with an autoregressive cross-lagged model, controlling for T1 PTSD symptoms revealed that men's subjective age at T1 was associated with women's subjective age at T2, and women's subjective age at T1 was associated with men's subjective age at T2. Women's marital adjustment at T1 was associated with men's marital adjustment at T2 but not the other way around.

Spousal relationships are an important arena in the lives of older adult veterans. The present study contributes new knowledge regarding the paths that predict subjective age by taking account of the subjective age of one's spouse, as well as levels of marital adjustment. Insights regarding secondary traumatization, as well as gender differences, for the aging process are discussed.

The data were collected using an in-depth interview form and analyzed with the thematic analysis technique. Results The childbirth experiences of the mothers were grouped under two main headings as negative and positive experiences. "Negative childbirth experiences" were divided into 4 main themes as "negative emotions experienced during childbirth, lack of effective communication due to the language barrier, difficulties experienced related to hospital policies and dissatisfaction with midwives". "Positive birth experiences", were categorized under three main themes as "satisfaction with the midwife, finding the country safe to give birth, and mother' s positive attitude towards birth process". The mothers were satisfied with "the attitudes and behaviors of the midwives and their professional practices", and the positive attitude of mothers towards birth in religious and cultural terms contributed to the positive birth perception.
