, no clinical trial, no interventions on human participants).BACKGROUD This study aimed to explore the clinical value of long - term electroencephalogram (LTM EEG) in seizure-free individuals taking antiepileptic drugs (AEDs) for more than 2 years. We try to look for clinical factors associated with epileptiform activity on LTM EEG in seizure free patients. We hope that the detection of epileptiform activity by the LTM EEG recording can develop the better treatment strategy. METHODS The LTM EEG recordings of 770 individuals with a definite diagnosis of epilepsy were assessed. Two hundred sixty-two individuals accorded with the inclusion criteria and exclusion criteria. We collect the demographic and clinical information and LTM EEG data of these 262 individuals. We analysed the data by one-way analysis of variance and Cox proportional hazards models. RESULTS We found that more epileptiform activity were found with LTM EEG recording than regular EEG recording in seizure-free individuals. We found several clinical factors could be associated with epileptiform activity on LTM EEG in seizure free patients by a one-way analysis symptomatic or cryptogenic epilepsy [hazard ratio (HR) = 2.6], history of cerebral trauma (HR = 7.5), and abnormal imaging findings (HR = 3.1). The following factors suggested a correlation between history of cerebral trauma (HR = 2.4) and history of cerebral surgery (HR = 3.4) with epileptiform activity on LTM EEG presentation by multivariate logistic regression analysis. CONCLUSIONS The study indicated a correlation of a number of factors with abnormal LTM EEG presentation symptomatic or cryptogenic epilepsy, history of cerebral trauma, history of cerebral surgery, and abnormal imaging findings. The LTM EEG recording may help find epileptiform activity in high risk seizure-free individuals. The individuals need be reevaluated the therapeutic strateagies, and increase the hope to reach real seizure-free.BACKGROUND Although education, exercise, and weight loss are recommended for management of knee osteoarthritis, the additional benefits of incorporating weight loss strategies into exercise interventions have not been well investigated. The aim of this study is to compare, in a private health insurance setting, the clinical- and cost-effectiveness of a remotely-delivered, evidence- and theory-informed, behaviour change intervention targeting exercise and self-management (Exercise intervention), with the same intervention plus active weight management (Exercise plus weight management intervention), and with an information-only control group for people with knee osteoarthritis who are overweight or obese. METHODS Three-arm, pragmatic parallel-design randomised controlled trial involving 415 people aged ≥45 and ≤ 80 years, with body mass index ≥28 kg/m2 and  less then  41 kg/m2 and painful knee osteoarthritis. Recruitment is Australia-wide amongst Medibank private health insurance members. All three groups receial measures include adherence, adverse events, self-efficacy, and perceived usefulness of intervention components. Cost-effectiveness of each intervention will also be assessed. DISCUSSION This pragmatic study will determine whether a scalable remotely-delivered service combining weight management with exercise is more effective than a service with exercise alone, and with both compared to an information-only control group. Findings will inform development and implementation of future remotely-delivered services for people with knee osteoarthritis. Research findings across Ethiopia on the prevalence and predictors of herbal medicine use among pregnant women attending antenatal care are highly variable and inconsistent. Therefore, this systematic review and meta-analysis aims to estimate the overall prevalence of the use of herbal medicine and its predictors among pregnant women attending antenatal care in Ethiopia. METHOD We searched articles in Medline (PubMed), EMBASE, HINARI, Google Scholar, Science Direct, Cochrane Library, and other sources. The study included a total of eight studies that reported the prevalence and predictors of herbal medicine use among pregnant women from different regions of Ethiopia. Cochrane Q test statistics and I2 tests were used to assess heterogeneity. A random effect meta-analysis model was used to estimate the pooled prevalence. JPH203 cell line In addition, the1.86, 3.23) were predictors of herbal medicine use by women during pregnancy. CONCLUSION In this study, about half of women attending antenatal care use herbal medicine and it is relatively high. The most commonly consumed herbal medicine during pregnancy was ginger followed by damakasse, garlic, tenaadam and eucalyptus. During pregnancy, it is not known that these most commonly consumed plant species have harmful fetal effects. However, many of the medicinal plant species are poorly studied, and it is not possible to rule out teratogenic effects. Teamwork between healthcare professionals and traditional practitioners to educate on the use of medicinal plants will encourage healthier pregnancies and better health for mothers and infants.BACKGROUND The fine-needle aspiration (FNA) biopsy was broadly applied to clinical diagnostics evaluation for thyroid carcinomas nodule, while companioning with higher uncertainty rate (15~30%) to identify malignancy for cytological indeterminate cases. It is requirement to discover novel molecular biomarkers to differentiate malignant thyroid nodule more precise. METHODS We employed weighted gene co-expression network analysis (WGCNA) to discover genes significantly associated with malignant histopathology for cytological indeterminate nodules. In addition, identified significantly genes were validated through another independently investigations of thyroid carcinomas patient's samples via cBioportal and Geipa. The key function pathways of significant genes involving were blast through GenClip. RESULTS Twenty-four signature genes were identified significantly related to thyroid nodules malignancy. Furthermore, five novel genes with missense mutation, FN1 (R534P), PROS1((K200I), (Q571K)), SCEL (T320S), SLC34A2(T688M) and TENM1 (S1131F), were highlighted as potential biomarkers to rule out nodules malignancy.
