CYP2C19*2 carriers had an odds of having MACE of 2.51 (95% CI 1.534-4.09) compared with noncarriers (P < .001). However, no factors were significantly associated with bleeding (P > 0.05).
The CYP2C19*2 gene polymorphism contributes to the risk of MACE in dual clopidogrel-treated Uygur population with ACS with or without PCI (percutaneous coronary intervention). These data may provide valuable insights into the genetic polymorphisms affecting clopidogrel metabolism among minority groups in China.

The Orchid family is the largest families of the monocotyledons and an economically important ornamental plant worldwide. Given the pivotal role of this plant to humans, botanical researchers and breeding communities should have access to valuable genomic and transcriptomic information of this plant. Previously, we established OrchidBase, which contains expressed sequence tags (ESTs) from different tissues and developmental stages of Phalaenopsis as well as biotic and abiotic stress-treated Phalaenopsis. The database includes floral transcriptomic sequences from 10 orchid species across all the five subfamilies of Orchidaceae.
Recently, the whole-genome sequences of Apostasia shenzhenica, Dendrobium catenatum, and Phalaenopsis equestris were de novo assembled and analyzed. These datasets were used to develop OrchidBase 4.0, including genomic and transcriptomic data for these three orchid species. OrchidBase 4.0 offers information for gene annotation, gene expression with fragments per kilobase of transcript per millions mapped reads (FPKM), KEGG pathways and BLAST search. In addition, assembled genome sequences and location of genes and miRNAs could be visualized by the genome browser. The online resources in OrchidBase 4.0 can be accessed by browsing or using BLAST. Users can also download the assembled scaffold sequences and the predicted gene and protein sequences of these three orchid species.
OrchidBase 4.0 is the first database that contain the whole-genome sequences and annotations of multiple orchid species. OrchidBase 4.0 is available at http//orchidbase.itps.ncku.edu.tw/.

Low temperature severely limits the growth, yield, and geographic distributions of soybean. Soybean plants respond to cold stress by reprogramming the expression of a series of cold-responsive genes. However, the intrinsic mechanism underlying cold-stress tolerance in soybean remains unclear. A. thaliana tolerant to chilling and freezing 1 (AtTCF1) is a regulator of chromosome condensation 1 (RCC1) family protein and regulates freezing tolerance through an independent C-repeat binding transcription factor (CBF) signaling pathway.
In this study, we identified a homologous gene of AtTCF1 in soybean (named GmTCF1a), which mediates plant tolerance to low temperature. Like AtTCF1, GmTCF1a contains five RCC1 domains and is located in the nucleus. GmTCF1a is strongly and specifically induced by cold stress. Interestingly, ectopic overexpression of GmTCF1a in Arabidopsis greatly increased plant survival rate and decreased electrolyte leakage under freezing stress. A cold-responsive gene, COR15a, was highly induced in the GmTCF1a-overexpressing transgenic lines.
GmTCF1a responded specifically to cold stress, and ectopic expression of GmTCF1a enhanced cold tolerance and upregulated COR15a levels. These results indicate that GmTCF1a positively regulates cold tolerance in soybean and may provide novel insights into genetic improvement of cold tolerance in crops.

The management of non-fermentative gram-negative bloodstream infection (NFGN-BSI) offers numerous challenges. In this study the aim is to analyse a large cohort of patients with NFGN-BSI recruited in the northern Italy to describe epidemiology, etiological and susceptibility pattern, therapeutic management and outcome.
Multicentre retrospective cohort study of patients hospitalised at three large teaching hospitals in northern Italy in a fourth year period.
355 BSI episodes were analyzed, due to P. aeruginosa (72.7%), A. baumannii (16.6%), and Stenotrophomonas maltophilia (10.7%). Overall, 21.4% of isolates were defined as DTR, highest rate among A. baumannii (64.4%). All-cause 30-day mortality rate was 17.5%. Rates of XDR or DTR A. https://www.selleckchem.com/products/SGI-1776.html baumannii isolation were significantly higher in non-surviving patients. Independent risk factors for 30-day mortality were age (HR 1.03, 95%CI 1.00-1.04, p = 0.003), septic shock (HR 2.84, 95%CI 1.67-4.82, p < 0.001) and BSI due to Acinetobacter baumannii (HR 2.23, 95%CI 1.27-3.94, p = 0.005).
The overall prevalence of DTR was high in the NFGN BSI cohort analyzied, mainly among Acinetobacter baumannii episodes (64.4%). Acinetobacter baumannii is showed to be an independent predictor of mortality. These evidences marked the urgent need of new therapeutic options against this pathogen.

Cases of concurrent immunoglobulin A nephropathy (IgAN) and IgG4-related tubulointerstitial nephritis (IgG4-TIN) are rare and previous case reports have lacked important data. KDIGO suggests a treatment with systemic glucocorticoids in IgAN patients. Glucocorticoids are recommended as the first-line therapy for IgG4-TIN. The use of tacrolimus as a long-term maintenance treatment has not been described. We report the case of a man who developed IgAN and IgG4-TIN without abnormalities in extra-renal tissue, without renal function abnormalities or impairment as well, and was treated by tacrolimus as a long-term maintenance during 45 months follow-up.
A 56-year-old Chinese man first presented to our hospital with the chief complaint of foamy urine for 1 year and hematuria for 3 months, with a medical history of hypertension. Testing revealed a notable increase in serum IgG4 level without abnormalities in renal function or imaging, or in dysfunction other organs. Renal biopsy showed mesangial extracellular mate finding of concurrent IgAN and IgG4-TIN without abnormalities in renal function, imaging or extra-renal tissue is rare and their coexistence may be coincidental. Long-term treatment with tacrolimus proved effective and he has remained in remission during 45 months follow-up.
This study examined the dynamic association between risk communication and the public's risk perception and action across the COVID-19 outbreak timeline in China.
This study collected publicly available information on COVID-19 released on official channels (e.g., government websites and official media) by the Parehub tool. Also, the study used the Zhongyun Big Data Platform to search public datasets about released COVID-19 information on Chinese social media, such as TikTok and Weibo. An online survey was conducted via WeChat to Chinese citizens using a snowball sampling method. The questionnaire assessed changes in participants' risk perception and action against COVID-19. The data analysis examined information content and release-time trajectories against the public's risk perception and actions over time.
Altogether, the collected data includes 1477 pieces of authorized information and 297,000 short videos on COVID-19. Of 1362 participants recruited from 33 provinces and municipalities of China, 1311ent information freely-accessible at the early stages of the outbreak might lead to the lack of risk awareness and the public's inadequate protective actions. Given the current global situation of COVID-19, the study highlights authorized, transparent, and timely two-way risk communication is vital to guide public perception and actions. Furthermore, our study provides risk communication recommendations and may contribute to developing full measures to address future crises.
Intracranial hemangiopericytoma is a rare disease and surgery is the mainstay treatment. Although postoperative adjuvant radiotherapy is often used, there are no reports comparing different radiotherapy techniques. The purpose of this study is to analyze the impact of post-operative radiotherapy and different radiotherapy technique on the results in patients with intracranial hemangiopericytoma (HPC).
We retrospectively reviewed 66 intracranial HPC patients treated between 1999 and 2019 including 29 with surgery followed by radiotherapy (11 with intensity-modulated radiotherapy (IMRT) and 18 with stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS)) and 37 with surgery alone. Chi-square test was used to compare the clinical characteristic between the groups. The Kaplan-Meier method was used to analyze overall survival (OS) and recurrence-free survival (RFS). Multivariate Cox proportional hazards models were used to examine prognostic factors of survival. We also underwent a matched-pair analysis by using the propensity score ogical dose compared with the SRS technique.
In this retrospective analysis, PORT did not improve the local control rates nor the survivals. The local control rates after IMRT and SRS were similar even though the IMRT technique had a much higher biological dose compared with the SRS technique.
Arterial tortuosity syndrome (ATS) is a rare autosomal recessive connective tissue disorder chiefly characterized by elongated and tortuosity of the large and medium sized arteries and anomalies of the vascular elastic fibers. Here we reported cases of brother about ATS from the same family on the prenatal ultrasound diagnosis. Reports of this case are rare in antenatally and we draw the vessel simulated diagram to display visually.
Prenatal ultrasound scanning at 29weeks of gestation of the first fetus showed obvious tortuous and elongated of the aortic arch, ductus arteriosus, left and right pulmonary arteries, carotid and subclavian arteries. Three months after delivery, Contrast-enhanced computed tomography images (CTA) were performed to clearly display vascular abnormalities consistent with prenatal diagnosis of ultrasound. Whole exome sequencing (WES) was performed eight months after birth, two heterozygous variants of SLC2A10 gene was detected in newborn and their father and mother, respectively. Prenatal ultrasound scan at 22weeks of gestation of the second fetus showed similar cardiovascular imaging. After birth the siblings have facial characteristic features gradually as aging. No surgical intervention was performed in the siblings follow up 19months.
The key points of prenatal ultrasound diagnosis of ATS are the elongation and tortuosity of the large and medium sized arteries. Genetic counseling is the process of providing individuals and families with information on the nature, inheritance, and implications of genetic disorders to help them make informed medical and personal decisions.
