eHealth interventions are being developed to meet the needs of diverse populations. Despite these advancements, little is known about how these interventions are used to improve the health of persons experiencing homelessness. The aim of this systematic review was to examine the feasibility, effectiveness, and experience of eHealth interventions for the homeless population.

Following PRISMA guidelines, a systematic search of PsycINFO, PubMed, Web of Science, and Google Scholar was conducted along with forward and backward citation searching to identify relevant articles.

Eight articles met eligibility criteria. All articles were pilot or feasibility studies that used modalities, including short message service, mobile apps, computers, email, and websites, to deliver the interventions. The accessibility, flexibility, and convenience of the interventions were valued by participants. However, phone retention, limited adaptability, a high level of human involvement, and preference for in-person communicatiotion. Those with lived experience should also be engaged in developing and evaluating these interventions. The profile of nursing home (NH) residents has changed over the past decade with more dependency, more severe chronic diseases and more treatments prescribed. For residents, the major consequence is the higher risk of unplanned hospitalization. French guidelines recommend the development of interactive telemedicine (InT) in NHs in order to improve access to care, and to decrease the rate of avoidable unplanned hospitalizations. Methods and analysis The aim of this study is to analyze the impact of an InT protocol delivered in NHs on the rate of unplanned hospitalizations, and on the quality of life at work and the organizational conditions of effectiveness of telemedicine in NHs. We will perform a mixed methods study combining a cluster non-randomized controlled trial in two matched parallel arms (telemedicine group and control group) and qualitative analysis of the evolution of organizational and professional contexts in NHs. Ethics and dissemination The study protocol was approved and sponsored by the French Ministry of Health. The study received ethical approval from the Bordeaux University Hospital Institutional Review Board. We will communicate the final results to the public via conferences and results will also be submitted for publication in international peer-reviewed scientific journals. Trial registration number NCT03486977.

A 10-year-old spayed female Russian Blue cat was presented with a 3-month history of excessive otic discharge and scratching, only involving the right ear. Other than a moderate amount of ceruminous exudate present within the right ear on video-otoscopic examination, there were no other cutaneous abnormalities. The cat was deemed to be otherwise in good health based on physical examination and several laboratory profiles. A diagnosis of otodemodicosis was determined due to the presence of a large number of

mites retrieved from cerumen. Treatment consisted only of monthly topical application of sarolaner/selamectin to the nape of the neck with a marked reduction in mite counts and otic pruritus after a single dose. Complete resolution was achieved after a total of four doses.

This is the first report to describe the resolution of mite infestation owing to

after treatment with a sarolaner-containing spot-on product. In addition, to the best of the author's knowledge, this is the first report of any isapplied directly into the ear, and provided a treatment that was easier to apply than oral or injectable macrocyclic lactones.

A 12-year-old spayed female domestic shorthair cat was presented to a referral hospital for chronic intermittent hyporexia and weight loss. An abdominal ultrasound was performed, which revealed a mid-jejunal mass and mesenteric lymphadenomegaly. Surgical resection and placement of an oesophagostomy tube (O-tube) was performed. Upon recovery the cat exhibited signs of Horner syndrome, which resolved over the span of 2 weeks. Subsequently, the cat developed signs of unilateral Pourfour du Petit syndrome in the left eye at day 20 and unilateral Horner syndrome at day 25 ipsilateral to the O-tube insertion site. The O-tube was removed 32 days postoperatively, and Horner syndrome resolved 24 h later. Zilurgisertib fumarate in vitro Follow-up examination 15 months later did not show any recurrence of ocular signs.

To our knowledge, this represents the first report of alternating ipsilateral Horner and Pourfour du Petit syndrome in a single patient that underwent placement of an O-tube. Neurological complications after O-tube placement are uncommon, with only a single previously published report of a cat developing Horner syndrome after O-tube placement. Veterinarians should consider potential ocular and neurological complications after O-tube placement and monitor for such signs postoperatively.

The aim of this research was to assess the prevalence of depression and its associated factors amongst pregnant women in a central Vietnamese city. This cross-sectional study included 150 pregnant women from 29 to 40 weeks of gestation, from eight wards of Hue city, via quota sampling from February to May 2019. We employed the Patient Health Questionnaire (PHQ-9) to assess depression. Findings suggest the need to provide routine screening of pregnant women in primary care for depressive symptoms and other mental health problems.Little is known about the variables explaining individual variability in the long-term adaptation of breast cancer survivors. Attachment tendencies have, however, been shown to explain negative psychological outcomes in the postsurgical period. The present study aimed to assess the continuing influence of attachment tendencies in the survivorship period. A sample of 28 women were surveyed 2 weeks, 3 months, 12 months, and 5 to 7 years after surgery. Attachment tendencies and psychological outcomes (distress, body image, sexuality) were assessed through questionnaires, and medical and sociodemographic data collected. Results show that insecure attachment tendencies predict negative body image and elevated distress.Behavioral activation (BA) is a well-established empirical treatment for depression that aims to improve depressive mood by increasing activation and reducing avoidance. Therefore, it is essential to evaluate activation and avoidance when a BA treatment is applied. The Behavioral Activation for Depression Scale (BADS) was developed to measure the changes in activation and avoidance over the course of BA treatment of depression. This study aims to validate the French version of this scale. In a first study, 131 bilingual adults were recruited to explored internal consistency, test-retest reliability and construct validity of the final French version. In a second study, 409 non-clinical adults completed an online survey assessing concurrent measures. Results of the first study suggested good internal consistency, test-retest reliability and construct validity. The second study revealed a confirmatory factor analysis supporting the original four-factor structure, with Activation, Avoidance/Rumination, Work/School Impairment, and Social Impairment subscales. Results also revealed that a 5-factor model distinguishing Behavioral Avoidance and Rumination had a better fit than the original four-factor structure. All subscales showed adequate internal consistency and good construct validity with evidence of convergent validity with depressive symptoms, brooding, psychological flexibility, negative automatic thought, behavioral inhibition and activation system. Furthermore, the French BADS total scale and subscales showed a good ability to predict depressive symptoms. The French version of the BADS appears to be a reliable tool for clinician and researchers to assess mechanisms of change in BA interventions.Multiple lung nodules in atopic dermatitis patients may reflect infective endocarditis. link2 Our case underlines the importance of potentially severe infections due to staphylococci associated with atopic dermatitis.Recurrent UTI's represent a challenge for physicians and anatomic abnormalities should be investigated thoroughly in this setting. Not all urinary tract dilatations mean obstruction. Accurate diagnosis is essential to initiate definitive treatment because endoscopic hemostasis, which is the usual initial intervention for upper gastrointestinal bleeding, may be ineffective. This case underscores timely intervention using endovascular treatment for achieving hemostasis in aortoduodenal fistula.Knowledge of anatomical variations of the celiac axis is important in upper abdominal surgery. Aberrant common hepatic artery originating from the left gastric artery without connecting the gastroduodenal artery is extremely rare. Preoperative vascular anatomy assessment using reconstructions of CT images may be useful for safe surgical procedure. The formation of guidewire knots during PICC insertion is an extreme rare complication. Forced insertion or withdrawal of a knotted guidewire may cause tearing of the veins.
