In this paper, we provide numeric morphology-based evidence that the dark-colored Poneracoarctatavar.lucida Emery, 1898, formerly considered a synonym of P.coarctata (Latreille, 1802), is conspecific with the lighter-colored Poneratestacea Emery, 1895. Species hypotheses are developed via NC-PART clustering, combined with Partitioning Algorithm based on Recursive Thresholding (PART), and via PCA combined with gap statistics. We obtained our results from an extensive dataset from the 10 continuous morphometric traits measured on 165 workers belonging to 73 nest samples. Linear discriminant analysis (LDA) confirmed the grouping of hypotheses generated by exploratory analyses with 100% classification success when all ten morphometric traits were involved. The Anatolian Turkish black and the predominantly European yellow samples, did not separate based on their morphometric characteristics. These two color variations broadly overlap in their geographic range in Anatolian Turkey. The investigated type series of Poneracoarctatavar.lucida Emery, 1898 (collected from Kazakhstan) fell within the P.testacea cluster instead of P.coarctata and is also classified with high certainty as P.testacea by confirmatory LDA. Therefore, we propose the synonymy of Poneracoarctatavar.lucida Emery, 1898 with Poneratestacea Emery, 1895. As no other morphological differences than color patterns were detected between the "black" and "pale" P.testacea samples, we hold that these populations constitute geographically occurring color variations of the same species. Finally, our quantitative morphology-based results show that relying on color patterns is not a robust approach in identifying European Ponera samples, particularly in the east, but using multivariate analyses of morphometric traits is advised instead.A new species of the Cyrtodactyluschauquangensis species group is described based on four specimens collected from the karst formations of Menglian County, Puer City, Yunnan Province, China. The new species can be separated from all other congeners by having a unique combination of morphological characters a medium-sized body; ventrolateral folds present with interspersed small tubercles; seven precloacal pores in a continuous series in males, absent in females; enlarged femoral scales and femoral pores absent; two postcloacal tubercles on each side; and one or two rows of enlarged subcaudals. Genetically, the new species most closely related to C.wayakonei and the uncorrected sequence divergences of the ND2 gene and its flanking tRNAs between the new species and investigated congeners range from 7.2% to 18.4%.The ultrastructure of androconia and their surrounding scales of nine species in nine genera across four subfamilies of Hesperiidae is studied. This provides a basis for the classification and identification of some genera and species. The wing surface of the scent glands patches was cut with scissors, observed and photographed under an S-4800 scanning electron microscope (at 10.0 kV accelerated pressure). There were significant differences in the types of scent glands patches across subfamilies. The scent glands patches of Pyrginae and Dudaminae are mainly in the costal fold of the forewing, while those of Coeliadinae and Hesperiinae are mainly in the line or circular stigma on the wing surface. The length, breadth and aperture of the androconia were further measured and the data are analysed by variance and multiple comparisons. There are significant differences amongst the subfamilies, except for Dudaminae and Pyrginae. In Hesperiinae, Telicotacolon (Fabricius, 1775) and Ampittiavirgata (Leech, 1890) have no significant difference in the aperture of the androconia, but are significantly different from Thymelicusleoninus (Butler, 1878). There are significant differences in the aperture between Pyrgusalveus's (Hübner, 1803) androconium and the second androconium of Loboclabifasciata (Bremer & Grey, 1853), but not with the first androconium of Loboclabifasciata. The morphology of androconia in the scent glands patches is very similar in Hesperiinae; all are rod-shaped and paddle-like. The scale types around the scent glands patches are different, but there are one or two similar types. To a certain extent, the aperture of the androconia reflects the genetic relationships between subfamilies and species. The differences in scale type and structure of scent glands patches can be used as a reference for the classification of subfamilies and genera in Hesperiidae. In Japan, nine species have been known in the ant genus Tetramorium, of which five or more are considered tramps. A key to the queens of nine Tetramorium species found in Japan is presented. The tramp species T.tonganum Mayr, 1870 is excluded from the key because no queen was available for us, while T.pacificum Mayr, 1870 is included because it was once intercepted at a port in Japan and exotic queens were available. Diagnosis of the queen of each species is provided together with differences between the two female castes. Tetramoriumtanakai Bolton, 1977 is resurrected from synonymy with T.kraepelini Forel, 1905 based mainly on the queen characters.Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is currently a pandemic caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2). COVID-19 are directly associated with hyper-activation of innate immune response that excessively produce pro-inflammatory cytokines and induce cytokine storm, leading to multi-organ-failure and significant morbidity/mortality. Currently, several antiviral drugs such as Paxlovid (nirmatrelvir and ritonavir) and molnupiravir are authorized to treat mild to moderate COVID-19, however, there are still no drugs that can specifically fight against challenges of SARS-CoV-2 variants. Panax ginseng, a medicinal plant widely used for treating various conditions, might be appropriate for this need due to its anti-inflammatory/cytokine/viral activities, fewer side effects, and cost efficiency. To review Panax ginseng and its pharmacologically active-ingredients as potential phytopharmaceuticals for treating cytokine storm of COVID-19, articles that reporting its positive effects on the cytokine production were searched from academic databases. Experimental/clinical evidences for the effectiveness of Panax ginseng and its active-ingredients in preventing or mitigating cytokine storm, especially for the cascade of cytokine storm, suggest that they might be beneficial as an adjunct treatment for cytokine storm of COVID-19. This review may provide a new approach to discover specific medications using Panax ginseng to control cytokine storm of COVID-19.Urban litterfall that is deposited on impervious surface leaches nutrients into stormwater, contributing to downstream eutrophication. Previous studies have focused on the leaching potential of deciduous leaf litter, while other smaller-volume litterfall types-such as blossoms and fruit-may leach significant amounts of nitrogen, phosphorus, and carbon. These additional litterfall types represent an unaccounted-for source of nutrients to urban stormwater. We explored variation in leaching potential of dissolved nutrients and organic carbon across litter types and species by collecting litterfall (blossoms, fruit, leaves) from ten common urban tree species. After 24 h of leaching, we measured total phosphorus (TP), total dissolved nitrogen (TDN), and dissolved organic carbon (DOC) contributions and compared differences across litter types and species. Litter basket estimates then allowed us to quantify annual litterfall inputs. We found that blossoms leached 3-20 times more TDN and 1.5-7 times more TP than leaves of the same species. Furthermore, considering litterfall mass, several species had greater springtime nutrient-leaching potential compared to fall due to high leaching potential in blossoms and lower potential in leaves. We found mixed effects of leaf crushing and leachate solution (stormwater, salinity) on leaching rates. compound library chemical This study highlights the need to consider all litterfall types as well as variation in urban forest communities and conditions when seeking to budget, control, and maintain for potential nutrient sources from the urban forest.

This study explores how preschool teachers make sense of their emotional labor, or the deliberate expression or suppression of emotions to achieve organizational goals, in the context of three professional interactions. Qualitative findings show preschool teachers' decisions to engage in particular types of emotional acting are both informed by and a facilitator of the strength and intimacy of their relationships. Implications for research, practice and policy are reviewed.

However, in some territories teachers often use recess for other purposes (e.g., children's poor classroom behavior might be punished with reduced time for recess). This study aimed to examine the impact of such practices on children's physical activity (PA) and the relationships between PA, gender, body mass index (BMI), and academic achievement. Forty-six first-grade students from two natural classrooms wore an accelerometer over the course of 6 weeks to measure their metabolic equivalent of task (METs) and sedentary behavior during school recess. Gender, age, BMI, the classroom to which students belonged, and academic achievement were also analyzed in two Generalized Estimating Equations models. Results revealed that boys achieved more METs and spent less time participating in sedentary behavior than girls during recess. Children within a healthy weight range of BMI yielded more METs than underweight and overweight/obese children. Academic achievement was positively associated with the METS and negatively with the sedentary behavior. Finally, withholding all or part of school recess significantly reduced children's PA and extended their sedentary behavior. The literature indicates that school recess plays an important role in promoting numerous children's health outcomes. Therefore, students should not be excluded from participation in all or part of recess. The economic development strategy of Double Circulation, chosen by China for the next fifteen years, is discussed. New drivers of economic growth-domestic demand and innovation-are analyzed. Some aspects of China's international economic agenda in the changing geopolitical conditions are examined. The article presents the results of a correlation and regression analysis of the spatial placement of banking divisions in Russia as a basis for the development of structural transformations corresponding to solving the problems of modernizing the country's economy and eliminating regional imbalances in socioeconomic development. Variants of a qualitative assessment of structural changes in the Russian banking system are proposed, taking into account Russian specifics and predictive studies. The authors' contribution is an introduction to the correlation-regression analysis of the territorial location of the banking structures of microfinance organizations to test the hypothesis of their mutual complementarity.
