Of the total number of interactions, 128 were pharmacokinetic and 44 were pharmacodynamic. The high number of psychotropic drug interactions is a serious public health issue. Psychopharmacological treatment should be carefully addressed to be safe for the patient. The ongoing outbreak of Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is a matter of great concern. Although the mortality rate caused by this virus is less than that of SARS and MERS, it is showing higher efficacy in terms of human-to-human transmission. Several strategies have been taken by scientists and researchers worldwide to combat this virus. Numerous phytochemicals and synthesized chemicals are under incessant inspection to obtain a potent anti-covid drug. Since, till now no precise therapy is available for covid patients, researchers are trying to categorize all possible anti-covid substances. Repurposing of drugs and combined drug therapy are becoming popular in treating such viral diseases. In this study, we are proposing the repurposing of three chemicals-Dextromethorphan, Prednisolone and Dexamethasone as anti-covid agents. We have used the tertiary structure of Coronavirus main protease (Mpro) with PDB ID 6LU7 as the target protein in this analysis. Molecular docking and dynamics study further revealed their synergistic effect against the COVID-19 protease protein. Communicated by Ramaswamy H. Oral administration poses challenges due to poor solubility, short half-life, quick elimination and the physical, chemical and biological barriers of the gastrointestinal tract. Approaches of past for improving oral absorption, such as enhancers, mucoadhesive delivery and enzyme inhibitors have been taken over by novel approaches like advanced liposomes, self-nanoemulsifying drug delivery system, nanoparticles and targeted delivery. Eudratech™ Pep, Peptelligence, Rani Pill and Pharm Film are the emerging technologies for delivering oral proteins and peptide. Calcitonin, semaglutide and octreotide are the peptides available in the market for oral delivery as outcomes of these technologies. The piped hydraulic transportation of tube-contained raw material is a new low-carbon and environmental protection technique for transporting materials. The velocity characteristics of the spiral flow in the pipe with different numbers of guide bars installed on the surface of the piped vehicle body during piped hydraulic transportation of tube-contained raw material were studied by the theoretical analysis and model test. In the test, the numbers of guide bars placed on the surface of the piped vehicle body was respectively 3, 4, 5, and 6, and the studied sections were the section of the piped vehicle body and its rear section, and the flow discharge was 40 m3/h. The results showed that as the number of guide bars increased, the axial velocity of the section of the piped vehicle body increased gradually, while the axial velocity of the rear section of the piped vehicle reduced first and then increased. The section circumferential and radial flow velocity of the piped vehicle body and its rear section both increased first and then reduced. When the number of guide bars installed on the surface of the piped vehicle body was 4, the section circumferential flow velocity of the piped vehicle body and its rear section reached the maximum value, and their distributions were relatively uniform. The results offer theoretical basis so that we can optimize the structure of the piped vehicle and further popularize the piped hydraulic transportation technique of tube-contained raw material.Hepatic lobe torsion is a rare condition in domestic animals. Clinical signs are variable, with some cases remaining subclinical and others resulting in death. Most cases are diagnosed either by laparotomy or during postmortem examination. During postmortem inspection of 670 slaughtered dromedary camels, hepatic lobe torsion of the quadrate lobe was detected in 3 adult female camels. Clinical signs had not been noted on antemortem veterinary inspection, and hepatic lobe torsion was likely an incidental finding. Histologically, the affected liver lobe exhibited severe hepatocellular loss with replacement by fibrous connective tissue. When investigating abdominal pain in camels, veterinarians should include hepatic lobe torsion in the list of differential diagnoses.Sexual dysfunction and insomnia are common side effects of prostate cancer (PCa) treatment, but the link between these symptoms has not been explored. We explore here the association between various sexual parameters and insomnia symptoms in PCa patients. Data were collected via an online survey with recruitment through various PCa organizations. One hundred and forty two patients (age = 67.3 ± 8.9 years) completed the survey. The majority were in a relationship (84.6%), of Caucasian ethnicity (83.1%), and 33% had previously received androgen deprivation therapy (ADT). Control variables-age, number of comorbidities, past ADT use, body mass index, depression, anxiety, fatigue and daytime sleepiness-explained 58.2% of the variance for insomnia symptoms. Including orgasm difficulty in the models accounted for an additional 2.1% in the variance in insomnia symptoms. Conversely, the control variables listed above together with insomnia symptoms predicted 37.7% of the overall variance in orgasm difficulty in PCa patients. These data suggest that sexual rehabilitation programs for PCa patients should assess insomnia symptoms, and therapies to improve sexual function or sleep quality may be beneficial in both functions given the relationship between sleep and orgasm functions in this population. In this paper, a delayed diffusive predator-prey model with schooling behaviour and Allee effect is investigated. The existence and local stability of equilibria of model without time delay and diffusion are given. Regarding the conversion rate as bifurcation parameter, Hopf bifurcation of diffusive system without time delay is obtained. In addition, the local stability of the coexistent equilibrium and existence of Hopf bifurcation of system with time delay are discussed. Moreover, the properties of Hopf bifurcation are studied based on the centre manifold and normal form theory for partial functional differential equations. Finally, some numerical simulations are also carried out to confirm our theoretical results.Traditional hand-held ultrasound probe has some limitations in prostate biopsy. Improving the localization and accuracy of ultrasound probe will increase the detection rate of prostate cancer while biopsy techniques remain unchanged. This paper designs a manipulator for transrectal ultrasound probe, which assists doctors in performing prostate biopsy and improves the efficiency and accuracy of biopsy procedure. The ultrasound probe manipulator includes a position adjustment module that can lock four joints at the same time. It reduces operating time and improves the stability of the mechanism. We use the attitude adjustment module designed by double parallelogram RCM mechanism, the ultrasound probe can realize centering and prevent its radial motion. The self-weight balance design helps doctors operate ultrasound probe without weight. selleck compound Using MATLAB to analyze the manipulator, the results show that the workspace of the mechanism can meet the biopsy requirements. And simulate the centering effect of the ultrasound probe when the attitude is adjusted at different feeding distances, the results show that the ultrasound probe is centering stability. Finally, the centering and joint interlocking tests of the physical prototype are completed. In this paper, a 7-DOF manipulator for transrectal ultrasound probe is designed. The mechanism is analyzed for kinematics, workspace analysis, simulation of centering effects, development of a physical prototype and related experimental research. The results show that the surgical demand workspace is located inside the reachable workspace of the mechanism and the joint locking of the manipulator is reliable.
Although culture is an integral part of health, there is scarcity of evidence on the influence of culture on caregiving experiences of parents of preterm infants. The aim of this study was to explore the influence of sociocultural practices on caring for preterm infants in the Ghanaian community.
Narrative inquiry was utilized to explore the influence of sociocultural practices on the care of preterm infants from 21 mothers, 9 fathers, and 12 household members. Data were collected through face-to-face semistructured interviews and observations at participants' homes.
Analysis of data resulted in three threads/themes-respect for the elderly, use of herbal medicines, and communal living.
Community and extended family members have great influence on the care of preterm infants. Traditional herbal medicines are considered effective in treating traditional illnesses among preterm infants. Understanding the influence of culture on the care of vulnerable preterm infants in the community is essential in developing interventions for infant survival.

(Himalayan rhubarb) has many pharmacological activities such as antioxidant, antimicrobial, antiviral, anticancer and wound healing. The present study was aimed to understand if major phytocompounds of Rheum emodi could bind proteins responsible for antibiotic resistance in bacterial and fungal pathogens and enhance the potency of antibiotics. The major phytocompounds of R. emodi (emodin, rhein-13c6 and chrysophenol dimethy ether) were retrieved from the Pubchem and target proteins were retrieved from RCSB protein data bank. The docking study was performed by using AutoDock vina software and Molinspiration, swiss ADME servers were used for the determination of Lipinski rule of 5, drug-likeness prediction respectively, whereas, admetSAR and Protox-II tools were used for toxicity prediction. To study the docking accuracy of protein-ligand complexes, MD simulation for 100 ns was done by using Desmond program version 2.0 (Academic version). Among all the selected phytocompounds, emodin showed the best binding affinity against bacterial (Penicillin binding protein 3, 3VSL and fungal target (cytochrome P450 14 alpha-sterol demethylase 1EA1) with binding energy -8.2 and -8.0 Kcal mol-1 respectively. Similarly, rhein-13C6 showed the best binding affinity against fungal target (n-myristoyl transferase 1IYL) with binding energy -8.0 Kcal mol-1 which is higher than antibacterial and antifungal antibiotics. All the selected phytocompounds also fulfill Lipinski rule, non-carcinogenic and non-cytotoxic in nature. These compounds also showed high LD50 value showing non-toxicity of these phytocompounds. MD simulation studies of phytocompounds (emodin and rhein-13C6) define the stability of protein-ligand complexes with in 100 ns time scale. Communicated by Freddie R. Salsbury.
