A midi-bed with storage, also known as a cabin bed, provides the best of both sleeping spaces and plenty of storage space for play toys. Create a place for their favourite teddies or make it an outdoor parking area. With shelves that can be customized and use in any way they like.

Size

Midi beds that have storage are typically lower than high-sleepers and have an easier staircase or ladder which makes them suitable for smaller rooms. They can take only a single UK mattress and include a range of useful elements beneath. From a smartly constructed desk that converts into a cabinet to store totes, to stylish drawers that have a smooth, non-wobble motion.

A lot of our midi cabin beds are offered in multiple colour finishes so you can select the one that fits your child's room most. Some go further and include a variety of bespoke storage unit. The desk can be moved between two units on wheels. There are four drawers of storage and two cabinets with doors. The Eli F takes it to the next level with doors that match the color of the chosen head and foot board.

The Luna low-line loft bed or midi-storage bed is compact, and comes with everything you need. A ladder that can be turned and a desk with wheels that slide into and out, and three drawer cabinets and chest are all included. You can also get it in reverse configuration such as the ladder on the left. Please ask in store or indicate this request at checkout.

Based on the style of your chosen midsleeper depending on the design, you might be able to incorporate clever storage solutions to your stairs. The Trasman Girona for instance, has shelves, a pull-out table and a cupboard. It's an ideal place to keep organized and is like a treehouse!

Many of our customers choose a low-line loft bed that has stairs that can be turned. This compact midi loft with storage has everything your kiddo needs - the desk slides in and out on wheels, there are 3 drawers to stash their trinkets or toys and a large cabinet to store their books in.

Some midi loft beds that have storage have the desk already integrated into the bunk (as illustrated in the photo above) and others, like our Luna midi bunk have the ladder on the right-hand side so that the desk can be put on the left (please ask in store, by phone or add this in the comments section when you're checking out if this is important to you).

Most Midi loft beds require the standard UK Single mattress (3ft/90x190cm) and a wooden base. The price of the bed does not include the mattress. We suggest checking our mattress deals to find one that is within your budget.

Mattress

Most midi beds accept standard UK single mattresses and the top bunk is equipped with the safety rail to give you additional security. Some models come with the option of a pull-out trundle drawer which can be used for sleepovers or to create more storage space beneath the bed. These can either be open or equipped with doors (please see the product details for more details).





Many midi cabins include the option of a desk that can be moved between the two upper levels or chests of drawers. This gives children a bespoke space to store all their belongings and means you don't have to take up valuable floor space with heavy shelving units or wardrobes.

Some models have gone one step further with cabinets that are flush mounted or even a part of the headboard or footboard. This is ideal for storage of toys and books.
