Non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) is the most common histological type of lung cancer, and one of the malignant tumor with the highest mortality. As the main part of the optical molecular imaging probe, peptide can realize the early screening and diagnosis of tumor and improve the survival rate of patients. The aim of this study was to screen the small-molecule peptide that highly binds to NSCLC NCI-H1299 cells using in vivo phage display technology and to identify their binding specificity by in vitro experiment.

To prepare a tumor-bearing nude mouse model of NCI-H1299 cells, after 3 rounds of in vivo screening with Ph.D.-C7CTM Peptide Library, phage clones were randomly picked, using immunohistochemistry and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) to identify the affinity of phage clones to NCI-H1299 cells. The National Diabetes Prevention Program (DPP) is an evidence-based strategy to prevent the development of type 2 diabetes in adults at high risk through education and behavior modifications that promote weight loss. This evaluation aimed to determine if National DPP participants' weight-related outcomes varied across demographic subgroups, including sex, age, race/ethnicity, and insurance status, after controlling for program attendance and physical activity.

Our cross-site evaluation used participant-level data from 11 organizations during July 2015 through June 2018. A modified Poisson regression model was used to examine the relationship between demographic subgroups, controlling for physical activity (minutes per week) and program attendance.

A total of 1,007 National DPP participants were included in the analyzed sample. Participants lost an average of 4% of their initial body weight, approximately 8 pounds. About one-third of participants achieved greater than 5% weight loss. In the unadjusted eswer attendance and Hispanic participants reported less physical activity than participants of other races/ethnicities. Strategies to improve National DPP participation and increase physical activity, therefore, should be prioritized among Hispanic and non-Hispanic Black participants.

A subset of 337 men (mean age at baseline 56.7 [SD, 6.5]) who previously (1990-1997) participated in the Bezafibrate Infarction Prevention trial underwent a neurovascular evaluation as part of the Bezafibrate Infarction Prevention Neurocognitive Study 15.0 (SD, 3.0) years after baseline and a sarcopenia evaluation 19.9 (SD, 1.0) years after baseline. We applied a multinomial logistic model to estimate odds ratios and 95% CIs for 3 categories of sarcopenia no evidence of sarcopenia (ie, robust), probable sarcopenia, and sarcopenia.

Obesity disproportionately affects rural communities, and Appalachia has some of the highest obesity rates in the nation. Successful policy, systems, and environmental (PSE) interventions to reduce obesity must reflect the circumstances of the population. We used a health equity lens to identify barriers and facilitators for healthy food access in Martin County, Kentucky, to design interventions responsive to social, cultural, and historical contexts.

We conducted 5 focus groups in Martin County, Kentucky, in fall 2019 to obtain perspectives on the local food system and gauge acceptability of PSE interventions. We used grounded theory to identify perceived barriers and facilitators for healthy eating.
