Background This study will evaluate the effectiveness of different acupuncture courses for functional constipation (FC) through network meta-analysis. Methods Eight database (PubMed, EMBASE, Web of Science, Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials (Central), China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI), China Biomedical Literature Database (CBM) and Wanfang Database) will be searched from inception to October 2019. Only randomized controlled trials comparing different acupuncture courses or acupuncture versus sham acupuncture or placebo will be included. The outcomes involved weekly stool frequency, Bristol Fecal score, responder rate and safety evaluation. The risk of bias assessment and quality of evidence will be appraised using the Cochrane Risk of Bias Tool and the Grading of Recommendations, Assessment, Development and Evaluation guidelines. RevMan 5.3 software, STATA V.14.0 and GeMTC software will be used to perform the network meta-analysis. Results This work will compare and arrange the comparative efficacy of different acupuncture treatments for FC by summarizing the current evidences. The results will be submitted in the form of a journal publication. Conclusion The results of this network meta-analysis may help doctors determine the best treatments for patients to manage FC. This study plan to observe the efficacy of Dan-Hong Hua-Yu oral solution in treating non-ischemic retinal vein occlusion, in order to provide new treatment ideas. Methods/design We plan to use random number table method, 64 cases of non-ischemic central retinal vein occlusion that meet the inclusion criteria will be randomly divided into a treatment group and a control group. The intervention group will be treated with Dan-Hong Hua-Yu oral solution according to the syndrome differentiation of Traditional Chinese medicine and the patient's fundus condition. Each group will take 4 weeks as a course of treatment and three consecutive courses of treatment without any interval during the course of treatment. Changes of visual acuity, fundus performance, and total clinical symptoms of patients before and after treatment will be observed. Discussion This study will observe the efficacy of Dan-Hong Hua-Yu oral solution in the treatment of non-ischemic central retinal vein occlusion, with a view to providing new treatment ideas. Trial registration ClinicalTrials.gov, ChiCTR2000030625, Registered on March 08, 2020.Background Numerous studies have reported that transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) and fluoxetine is used in the treatment of postpartum depression (PPD). Currently, no study has systematically investigated the efficacy and safety of TMS and fluoxetine for the treatment of patients with PPD. Thus, this study will assess the efficacy and safety of TMS and fluoxetine for treating PPD. Methods Relevant studies involving TMS and fluoxetine for the treatment of patients with PPD will be comprehensively searched from the electronic databases from inception to the February 1, 2020 Cochrane Library, EMBASE, MEDILINE, CINAHL, AMED, WANGFANG, VIP, and CNKI databases. No language and publication time restrictions will be applied. RevMan 5.3 software will be utilized for data pooling, data analysis, and risk of bias evaluation. If necessary, we will also assess reporting bias using funnel plot and Egger test. Results This study will comprehensively summarize the existing evidence to assess the efficacy and safety of TMS and fluoxetine for treating PPD. Conclusion The findings of this study may help to establish a better approach to treat PPD using TMS and fluoxetine. Dissemination and ethics This study will be disseminated through a peer-reviewed journal. This study does not need ethical approval as no primary patient data will be used. We sought to identify potential risk factors associated with metastatic diseases upon presentation for patients with STS and established a reliable nomogram model to predict distant metastasis of STS at presentation. The current study retrospectively analyzed 3884 STS of the extremities or trunk patients from the Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results (SEER) database between 2010 and 2015. Based on patient registration, all patients were randomly allocated to training sets and validation sets (21). Then, univariate and binary logistic regression analysis was used to determine the significantly correlated predictors of metastasis. Finally, the nomogram model was established, using these predictors and validated it. 311 (8.21%) of the cases experienced distant metastatic disease was present at the time of presentation. The nomogram was developed from age, histology subtype, primary site, tumor size, grade and depth. Encouragingly, the nomogram showed favorable calibration with C-index 0.790 in the training set and 0.801 in validation set. The DCA showed that the novel model was clinically useful. This nomogram model had a high precision to predict the metastasis of soft tissue sarcoma of the extremities. We expect this model could be used in different clinical consultation and established risk assessment. Background Chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting (CINV) make many patients have negative adherence of treatment. Acupuncture has been widely applied in treatment of CINV, but its efficacy has not been evaluated scientifically and systematically in recent years. Hence, evaluating the safety and effectiveness of acupuncture treatment in patients with CINV is the main purpose of this review. Methods and analysis We will search the following electronic databases from inception to Mar 2020 the Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials, EMBASE, PubMed, the Web of Science, China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI), Traditional Chinese Medicine, Chinese Biomedical Literature Database (CBM), Wan-Fang Database and Chinese Scientific Journal Database (VIP database). All published academic data about clinical randomized controlled trials in English or Chinese related to acupuncture for treating CINV will be obtained. The primary outcomes are defined as frequency and severity of CINV during chemotherapy. The secondary outcomes are defined as any adverse events and quality of life of CINV during chemotherapy. The study selection, data extraction, and assessment of study quality will be conducted by 2 researchers independently. Review Manager Software (RevMan) V.5.3 will be performed for meta-analysis. Results The results of this review will provide a high-quality synthesis of current available evidence to evaluate acupuncture is an effective and safe treatment for CINV. Conclusion The conclusion of this review will provide the highest level of evidence to judge whether acupuncture is an effective and safe treatment for patients suffered from CINV. All patients were divided into 4 groups according to EFI score group with EFI score ≥9, 7-8, 4-6, and less then 4, and divided into I, II, III, and IV groups according to AFS stages. The uterus-laparoscopic surgery was performed. The patients were followed up for 3 years. The factors affecting the pregnancy rate were analyzed. The pregnancy rate and pregnancy types were calculated at different time points.Multivariate analysis showed that age less then 35 years, infertility time lesstive pregnancy of patients with endometriosis and infertility. According to EFI score, the pregnancy rate of patients with endometriosis and infertility can be significantly improved by strict management and active pregnancy program.Introduction In China, the over 60 population is estimated to grow from 12% in 2010 to 33% of the overall population by 2050. The escalation in the aging population is projected to result in an Alzheimer's disease prevalence of 27.7 million people in China by 2050 causing substantial health and economic burden. While there are some published studies on multicomponent, non-pharmacological interventions for people with dementia, we have found no published community-based approach to care that encompasses personalized selection of non-pharmacological interventions, active social participation, and dementia education. Patient concerns An elderly female living at home alone in urban Beijing presented with significant short-term memory impairment, episodes of confusion, difficulty with language skills, and episodes of wandering. She had become reclusive and disengaged from her previous social networks, and no longer attended any community activities or events. The patient had no significant past medical or psychiatn in the community. Conclusion The community-based, multicomponent dementia social care program described in this case report has enabled a socially isolated patient with Alzheimer's disease to reduce her social isolation with an associated improvement in her mood and prevention of cognitive decline. Educating the community was an essential part of re-integrating the patient into the social setting. Reducing social isolation and increasing community engagement were essential to maintaining the patient's independence in her own home. Background Venous thromboembolism (VTE) is a serious, sometimes life-threatening complication that can occur following spine surgery. The incidence of VTE, and the optimal type and timing of thromboprophylaxis for this complication in elective spine surgery is a matter of debate. Objective To perform a systematic review with the aim of clarifying the efficacy and adverse effects of mechanical and chemical prophylaxis for preventing thromboembolic complications in elective spine surgery for conditions other than trauma and malignant disease. Methods/design A search strategy of related articles up to March 2018 was designed and executed in Medline and Embase. Patients adolescents (>10 years) and adults undergoing elective surgery for spinal deformity or degenerative disease (from C1 to S1). Intervention Perioperative mechanical and chemical thromboprophylaxis. Studies could be randomized controlled trials or observational studies that reported data on any relevant clinical outcomes. Results In total, 2451 uniqu although there was an increased risk of bleeding with chemoprophylaxis, which could favor the use of mechanoprophylaxis in this scenario.
