ed comparable effectiveness and safety in the treatment of gastric diseases in our meta-analysis. Based on the current evidence, we believe that RPLS is an efficacious surgical alternative to CMPLS in the management of gastric diseases because of the shorter hospital stay and reduced blood loss. However, large-scale, well-designed, multicenter studies are needed to further confirm the results of this study.

Bile acid is an essential factor that plays a role in metabolic regulation, but how bile acid is regulated after Roux-en-Y gastric bypass (RYGB) and sleeve gastrectomy (SG) remains unclear. This meta-analysis aimed to investigate changes in the levels of fasting bile acids following RYGB and SG.

A systematic literature search of the PubMed, EMBASE, Cochrane Library and Web of Science databases through July 2020 was performed in accordance with the Meta-analysis Of Observational Studies in Epidemiology (MOOSE) guidelines and Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) statement. The concentrations of bile acids were evaluated.

Thirteen studies with 289 patients were included. Our results showed that patients who underwent RYGB had increased levels of fasting total bile acids, primary bile acids, secondary bile acids, conjugated bile acids, and unconjugated bile acids, but no significant differences in all these bile acid levels were observed in patients who underwent SG. Furthermore, 12a-hydroxylated bile acid levels and the 12a-hydroxylated/non-12a-hydroxylated bile acid ratio also increased following RYGB.

In this study, we found that fasting bile acid levels, especially 12a-hydroxylated bile acids levels, were increased after RYGB. However, no differences in fasting bile acid levels were observed following SG.

This study was designed as a means of comparing the clinical efficacy and long-term outcomes of covered vs bare stent insertion as a treatment for distal malignant biliary obstruction (DMBO) caused by primary common biliary cancer (PCBC).This retrospective study was designed using data collected between January 2012 and December 2019 to assess the short- and long-term outcomes in patients with DMBO caused by PCBC treated by inserting either bare or covered stents were compared.Ninety two patients with DMBO caused by PCBC were divided between bare (n = 51) or covered (n = 41) stent groups. Technical success rates in both groups were 100%. Clinical success of bare vs covered stent use were 96.1% and 97.6% (P = 1.00). Stent dysfunction was seen in 17 and 6 patients in the bare and covered stent groups, respectively (P = .04). The median stent patency for bare and covered stents was 177 and 195 days, respectively (P = .51). The median survival was 188 and 200 days in the bare and covered stent groups, respectivts was 177 and 195 days, respectively (P = .51). The median survival was 188 and 200 days in the bare and covered stent groups, respectively (P = .85).For patients with DMBO caused by PCBC, using bare vs covered stents yields similar clinical efficacy and long term outcomes.

Unlike Western countries, there are still few clinical immunology specialists in China, and the optimal care for secondary immunodeficiency caused by hematological malignancies is unknown. Therefore, we initiated this clinician survey study to describe the current situation of the care for malignancy patients with hypogammaglobulinemia in China. We adapted a previously published online questionnaire of current clinical practices regarding the management of secondary immunodeficiency caused by hematological malignancies and then distributed the questionnaire to 52 hematologists in China via WeChat mobile software; the survey collected demographic details, starting dosage, target immunoglobulin (Ig) level, monitoring, criteria for stopping Ig replacement, vaccination use, and oral antibiotic prophylaxis for hypogammaglobulinemia patients.Forty-eight hematologists responded. Quizartinib 28(58.33%) respondents had more than 10 years of experience. Nevertheless, 40(83.33%) respondents reported that they did not use any specice the infection rate in China.

Conventional white-light imaging endoscopy (C-WLI) had a significant number of misdiagnosis in early gastric cancer (EGC), and magnifying endoscopy (ME) combined with different optical imaging was more accurate in the diagnosis of EGC. This study aimed to evaluate the accuracy of ME and compare the accuracy of ME with different optical imaging in detecting EGC.

A comprehensive literature search was conducted to identify all relevant studies. Pair-wise meta-analysis was conducted to evaluate the accuracy of ME, and Bayesian network meta-analysis was performed to combine direct and indirect evidence and estimate the relative effects.

Eight prospective studies were identified with a total of 5948 patients and 3 optical imaging in ME (ME with WLI (M-WLI), ME with narrow-band imaging (M-NBI), and ME with blue laser imaging (M-BLI)). Pair-wise meta-analysis showed a higher accuracy of ME than C-WLI (OR 2.97, 95% CI 1.68∼5.25). In network meta-analysis, both M-NBI and M-BLI were more accurate than M-WLI (OR 2.56, 95% CI 2.13∼3.13; OR 3.13, 95% CI 1.85∼5.71). There was no significant difference between M-NBI and M-BLI.

ME was effective in improving the detecting rate of EGC, especially with NBI or BLI.

Mycoplasma pneumoniae infection may induce a systemic hypercoagulable abnormality, like organ embolism and infarction. Indexes of blood coagulation and C-reactive protein (CRP) have been reported different between healthy people and mycoplasma pneumoniae pneumonia (MPP) patients, but this difference in MPP patients with different chest imaging findings has rarely been reported. We performed a retrospective study of 101 children with MPP and 119 controls, combined with radiological examination and blood tests, to compare the blood coagulation and CRP level among MPP children with different chest imaging findings. For the MPP children with different chest imaging findings, there were significant differences in CRP, fibrinogen (FIB) and D-dimer (D-D) levels among subgroups (P = .004, P = .008 and P < .001 respectively). The CRP level in group of interstitial pneumonia was significantly higher than that in groups of bronchopneumonia and hilar shadow thickening (P = .003 and P = .001 respectively). And the FIB vels changed most significantly in the lung consolidation group.

This meta-analysis was conducted in order to understand the clinical efficacy of stent insertion with high-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) ablation for the treatment of malignant biliary obstruction (MBO).

The Pubmed, Embase, and Cochrane Library databases were searched for all relevant studies published through July 2020. The meta-analysis was conducted using RevMan v5.3, with analyzed study endpoints including the rate of stent dysfunction, time to stent dysfunction, stent patency, complication rate, and overall survival (OS).

In total, 35 potentially relevant studies were initially identified, of which 6 were ultimately included in the present meta-analysis. These 6 studies included 429 MBO patients that were treated either only via stenting (n = 221) or via stenting in combination with HIFU ablation (n = 208). Pooled stent dysfunction rates in the stent and stent with HIFU groups were 25.9% and 18.0%, respectively (OR 1.59; 95% CI 0.88, 2.84, P = .12). The average time to stent dysfunction was significantly longer in the stent with HIFU group relative to the stent group (MD -3.15; 95% CI -3.53, -2.77, P < .0001). Pooled complication rates in the stent and stent with HIFU groups were 17.1% and 19.6%, respectively (OR 0.88; 95% CI 0.49, 1.58, P = .67). Stent patency and OS were both significantly longer in the stent with HIFU group relative to the stent group (P < .0001 and.0001, respectively). Funnel plot analyses did not reveal any significant evidence of publication bias linked to the selected study endpoints.

This meta-analysis found that a combined stenting and HIFU ablation approach can achieve better stent patency and OS in MBO patients relative to stent insertion alone.

Obesity is an independent risk factor for the occurrence and development of diabetes. Patients with diabetes combined with obesity will face serious burdens such as increase in insulin resistance and difficulty in blood glucose control. As a safe, effective, economical, and simple intervention, Tuina is more acceptable to the public than drugs. The objective of this systematic evaluation and meta-analysis is to evaluate the efficacy and safety of Tuina for diabetes with obesity.

We will search the following electronic databases PubMed, Embase, Cochrane Library, Web of science, Chinese National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI), Sino Med, Wanfang, Chinese Clinical Trial Registry System, China Biomedical Literature Database (CBM). The time limit for retrieving studies is from establishment to November 2020 for each database. Randomized controlled clinical trials related to Tuina intervention on diabetes with obesity will be included. Data synthesis, sensitivity analysis, subgroup analysis as well as the assessment of bias risk will be conducted by using Stata V.13.0 and Review manager 5.3 software.

This study will provide a quantitative and standardized evaluation for the efficacy of Tuina therapy on diabetes with obesity.

This systematic review and meta-analysis will provide the high-quality evidence of whether Tuina is an effective intervention for diabetes with obesity.
