Employing software engineering to build an integrated, standardized, and scalable solution is closely associated with the healthcare domain. Furthermore, new diagnostic techniques have been developed to obtain better results in less time, saving costs, and bringing services closer to the most unprotected areas. This paper presents the integration of a top-notch component, such as hardware, software, telecommunications, and medical equipment, to produce a complete system of Electronic Health Record (EHR). The EHR implementation aims to contribute to the expansion of the health services offer concerning people who live in locations where typically have difficult access to medical care. The methodology throughout the work is a Strategic Planning to set priorities, focus energy and resources, strengthen operations, ensure that directors, managers, employees, and other stakeholders are working toward common goals, establish agreement around intended outcomes/results. A medical and technical team is incorporated to and clinical psychology services (16,67%), and the worst levels are registered in pediatric and surgical oncology services where only 1,59% and 1,97% of the patients are admitted in less than 30 min, respectively.Estuaries being the connecting link between terrestrial and marine environment, experience spatial variations in the hydrographic variables as well as concentrations of pollutants. The present study reports a contrasting difference in the metal tolerance and enzyme activity of particle-associated bacteria (PAB) isolated from the upstream and downstream reaches of a tropical estuary [Cochin Estuary (CE) in the southwest coast of India], exposed to different levels of heavy metal contamination. The upstream of the estuary has been overloaded with heavy metals in the last few decades, while the downstream is less polluted. There were only 25% of culturable PAB phylogenetically common in both upstream and downstream. The PAB isolated from the upstream were dominated by γ-proteobacteria (48.1%) followed by α-proteobacteria (25.0%), while it was in the reverse order of α-proteobacteria (45.9%) and γ-proteobacteria (36.1%) in the downstream. More number of PAB from the upstream showed tolerance to higher concentrations of Zn and Cd. The Acinetobacter sp. MMRF1051 isolated from the upstream showed tolerance up to 250 mM Zn, 100 mM Cd, and 250 mM Ni. The enzyme expression profile of PAB from downstream was in the order of lipase > phosphatase > β-glucosidase > aminopeptidase, while it was in the order of β-glucosidase > lipase > aminopeptidase > phosphatase in the upstream of the estuary. The present study shows the selective pressure exerted by heavy metal pollution on the diversity of culturable bacteria associated with particulate matter in a tropical estuary. Also, the variation in their enzyme activities may impinge the remineralization of particulate organic matter (POM) in the system and may impart adverse impacts on ecosystem functioning.BACKGROUND Recent studies have shown the challenges involved in detecting small conflicting vessels (1.0-1.5 mm) on contrast-enhanced (CE) T1 images during stereoelectroencephalography (SEEG) planning. Improving the resolution of non-invasive approaches to identify these vessels is possible and important. We present a superior sagittal sinus mapping-based CE-magnetic resonance venography (CE-MRV) protocol calibrated by craniotomies. METHOD Seven patients with epileptic symptoms who received craniotomy were enrolled. CE-MRV was acquired with a bolus mapping of the superior sagittal sinus. NT157 Together with the T1 image, 3D veins and the brain surface were visualized. The resolution of the CE-MRV was quantified by measuring the diameter of superficial drainages after exposure of the brain surface during craniotomy. RESULTS A total of 37 superficial drainages were exposed in the bone windows. CE-MRV visualized all these drainages. On average, one superficial drainage could be found in every 13.2 mm diameter of the bone window. The boundary resolution of the CE-MRV was 0.58-0.8 mm in vessel diameter, while drainages larger than 0.8 mm were visualized consistently. CONCLUSIONS The resolution of the CE-MRV in the present study met the requirement for detection of small conflicting vessels during SEEG planning. The visualized venous landmarks could be used for visual guidance to the surgical zone. As a non-invasive approach, CE-MRV is practical to use in the clinical setting.BACKGROUND Hydrocephalus requiring external ventricular drainage is common following aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage (aSAH). Timing and strategy for the discontinuation of the external ventricular drain (EVD) are, however, controversial as guidelines are based on limited scientific evidence. A recent similar survey showed that guidelines and recommendations are not being followed. We conducted a questionnaire survey regarding the management of EVD treatment in patients with aSAH and investigated current treatment practice, consensus, and adherence to guidelines within the neurosurgical departments in Scandinavia. METHODS A questionnaire concerning the management of EVD discontinuation in patients with hydrocephalus following aSAH was distributed to all 14 neurosurgical departments in Scandinavia (Norway, Sweden, and Denmark). Neurosurgeons and neurosurgical trainees at all levels were asked to complete the questionnaire individually. A total of 175 completed questionnaires were received between May 2018 anensus at department level was absent. Initiation of the discontinuation process appeared to be case dependent and mainly influenced by the patients' clinical condition and drainage volume. GCS was the clinical variable considered most important when deciding on the initiation of EVD discontinuation.AIMS AND OBJECTIVES To review the available literature regarding the use of prostate cancer-related mobile phone applications (PCA). MATERIALS AND METHODS The search was for English language articles between inceptions of databases to June 2019. Medline, EMBASE, Cochrane Library, CINAHL and Web of Science were searched. Full-text articles were reviewed, and the following data were extracted to aid with app analysis name of application, developer, platform (Apple App Store or Google Play Store) and factors assessed by the article. RESULTS The search yielded 1825 results of which 13 studies were included in the final review. 44 PCAs were identified from the data collected of which 59% of the PCAs had an educational focus. 11 apps were inactive and 5 weren't updated within the last year. Five studies focused on the development and testing of apps (MyHealthAvatar, CPC, Rotterdam, Interaktor, NED). Two studies evaluated the readability of PCAs. Most PCAs had a reading level greater than that of the average patient.
