In brief, the present analysis raised cautions about off-target and undesirable effects of certain oncology drugs in a subset of cancers where the intended cellular effectors of drug might not be good fitness genes and that this study offers a potential rationale for repurposing certain approved oncology drugs for targeted therapeutics in additional cancer types.(1) Background Data on the effects of helicopter emergency medical service (HEMS) transport and treatment on the survival of severely injured pediatric patients in high-level trauma centers remain unclear. (2) Methods A national dataset from the TraumaRegister DGU® was used to retrospectively compare the mortality rates among severely injured pediatric patients (1-15 years) who were transported by HEMS to those transported by ground emergency medical service (GEMS) and treated at trauma centers of different treatment levels (levels I-III). (3) Results In total, 2755 pediatric trauma patients (age 9.0 ± 4.8 years) were included in this study over five years. Transportation by HEMS resulted in a significant survival benefit compared to GEMS (odds ratio (OR) 0.489; 95% confidence interval (CI) 0.282-0.850). Pediatric trauma patients treated in level II or III trauma centers showed 34% and fourfold higher in-hospital mortality risk than those in level I trauma centers (level II OR 1.34, 95% CI 0.70-2.56; level III OR 4.63, 95% CI 1.33-16.09). (4) Conclusions In our national pediatric trauma cohort, both HEMS transportation and treatment in level I trauma centers were independent factors of improved survival in pediatric trauma patients. This research work presents the results obtained from a comparative corrosion evaluation of welded joints on uncoated steel in flat position, welded joints in flat position on steel protected with polymeric film, and welded joints in flat position on steel covered with nanocomposite polymeric film (primer reinforced with TiO2 nanoparticles). Nutlin3a The electrochemical methods of open circuit potential, linear polarization resistance, and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy were used for corrosion evaluation. The results of the electrochemical tests indicate that titanium oxide reinforcing polymeric film to form nanocomposite layers over naval welded steel increases the corrosion protection of polymeric film as compared with unmodified primer.Facing the complex marine environment, it is extremely challenging to conduct underwater acoustic target feature extraction and recognition using ship-radiated noise. In this paper, firstly, taking the one-dimensional time-domain raw signal of the ship as the input of the model, a new deep neural network model for underwater target recognition is proposed. Depthwise separable convolution and time-dilated convolution are used for passive underwater acoustic target recognition for the first time. The proposed model realizes automatic feature extraction from the raw data of ship radiated noise and temporal attention in the process of underwater target recognition. Secondly, the measured data are used to evaluate the model, and cluster analysis and visualization analysis are performed based on the features extracted from the model. The results show that the features extracted from the model have good characteristics of intra-class aggregation and inter-class separation. Furthermore, the cross-folding model is used to verify that there is no overfitting in the model, which improves the generalization ability of the model. Finally, the model is compared with traditional underwater acoustic target recognition, and its accuracy is significantly improved by 6.8%.Shear wave elastography (SWE) can be useful to discriminate between malignant and benign mammary tumors. In dogs with elevated progesterone levels compared to the baseline and fast-growing tumors, treatment with the use of aglepristone allows for tumor size reduction, which facilitates surgery. This study aimed to evaluate the influence of the preoperative treatment of benign mammary tumors (BMTs), performed with the use of aglepristone, on the density of the tumor tissue measured by SWE. Twelve female dogs with diagnosed BMTs and increased levels of progesterone were treated with aglepristone (Alizine, Virbac, France) at 10 mg/kg s.c. (Subcutaneous injection). twice, with a 24 h interval. The density of the tumor was evaluated by SWE before and after the treatment. The type of tumor was evaluated by fine needle aspiration cytology before treatment, and a histopathological examination was made after surgical removal, performed after the aglepristone treatment. In all the cases, a significant reduction in the mammary tumor's size was observed following treatment, with no influence on the density of the tumor's tissue measured by SWE. Similar studies on malignant mammary tumors are warranted to verify if in these cases, density will also be a constant parameter that is not dependent on the tumor size. The development of the industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) promotes the integration of the cross-platform systems in fog computing, which enable users to obtain access to multiple application located in different geographical locations. Fog users at the network's edge communicate with many fog servers in different fogs and newly joined servers that they had never contacted before. This communication complexity brings enormous security challenges and potential vulnerability to malicious threats. The attacker may replace the edge device with a fake one and authenticate it as a legitimate device. Therefore, to prevent unauthorized users from accessing fog servers, we propose a new secure and lightweight multi-factor authentication scheme for cross-platform IoT systems (SELAMAT). The proposed scheme extends the Kerberos workflow and utilizes the AES-ECC algorithm for efficient encryption keys management and secure communication between the edge nodes and fog node servers to establish secure mutual authentication. The scheme was tested for its security analysis using the formal security verification under the widely accepted AVISPA tool. We proved our scheme using Burrows Abdi Needham's logic (BAN logic) to prove secure mutual authentication. The results show that the SELAMAT scheme provides better security, functionality, communication, and computation cost than the existing schemes.
