001) and antidepressants (p less then 0.001). Multiple significant differences were found in ADHD medication response between ID groups and those with/without co-morbid ASD but not associated with challenging behavior reduction.Conclusions High levels of neurodevelopmental and psychiatric comorbidity were found. ID severity and the presence of ASD appear to influence the use of certain psychotropic medications. Appropriate use of ADHD medication appears to reduce psychotropic polypharmacy.Introduction Sarcoidosis is a multi-organ disease with a wide range of clinical manifestations and outcomes. A quarter of sarcoidosis patients require long-term treatment for chronic disease. In this group, corticosteroids and cytotoxic agents be insufficient to control diseaseAreas covered Several biologic agents have been studied for treatment of chronic pulmonary and extra-pulmonary disease. A review of the available literature was performed searching PubMed and an expert opinion regarding specific therapy was developed.Expert opinion These agents have the potential of treating patients who have progressive disease. Many of these agents have different mechanisms of action, response rates, and toxicity profiles.

Patients undergoing carotid endarterectomy (CEA) may experiment neurologic deficits during the carotid cross-clamping due to secondary cerebral hypoperfusion. An associated risk of postoperative stroke incidence is also well established. This work aimed to assess the postoperative adverse events related to neurologic deficits in the awake test after clamping and to determine its predictive factors.

From January 2012 to January 2018, 79 patients from a referral hospital that underwent CEA with regional anesthesia for carotid stenosis and manifested neurologic deficits were gathered. Consecutively selected controls (

 = 85) were submitted to the same procedure without developing neurological changes. Postoperative complications such as stroke, myocardial infarction, all-cause death, and Clavien-Dindo classification were assessed 30days after the procedure. Univariate and binary logistic regressions were performed for data assessment.

Patients with clamping associated neurologic deficits were significantly more obese than the control group (aOR = 9.30; 95% CI 2.57-33.69;

 = .01). Lower degree of ipsilateral stenosis and higher degree of contralateral stenosis were independently related to clamping intolerance (aOR = 0.70; 95% CI 0.49-0.99;

 = .047 and aOR = 1.30; 95% CI 1.06-1.50;

 = .009, respectively). Neurologic deficits were a main 30-day stroke predictor (aOR = 4.30; 95% CI 1.10-16.71;

 = .035).

Neurologic deficits during carotid clamping are a predictor of perioperative stroke. Body mass index > 30 kg/m

, a lower degree of ipsilateral stenosis, and a higher degree of contralateral stenosis are independent predictors of neurologic deficits and, therefore, might play a role in the prevention of procedure-related stroke.

While large demographic changes have happened at this peninsula throughout history, the genetic landscape of modern populations on this peninsula has never been clarified. The aims of our study were to investigate population genetic characteristics of the populations on the Shandong peninsula and to reveal their genetic affinities with other populations around the world. Allele frequencies, Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium, and forensic parameters of 15 autosomal STRs in the AmpFlSTR® Identifiler system were obtained from the studied populations with 2,441 individuals in total. Allele frequencies were used to reveal the phylogenetic relationships among 287 worldwide populations. The combined power of discrimination (CPD) and the combined power of exclusion (CPE) in the whole of the Han population on the Shandong Peninsula were 0.999999999999999983 and 0.999998155, respectively. The 15 autosomal loci were polymorphic and informative among our studied populations. Genetic homogeneities were revealed between the modern populations on the Shandong peninsula and Han nationalities from Northeastern China as well as East China.

Two-dimensional shear wave elastography (2D-SWE), magnetic resonance elastography (MRE), aspartate transaminase-to-platelet ratio index (APRI), fibrosis index based on 4 factors (FIB-4), and King's score have been proposed for diagnosing fibrosis.

Literature databases were searched until October 1st, 2020. The summary area under the receiver operating characteristic curve (AUROC), the summary diagnostic odds ratios, and the summary sensitivities and specificities were used to assess the performance of these noninvasive methods for staging fibrosis.

Our final data contained 72 studies. The prevalence of significant fibrosis, advanced fibrosis, and cirrhosis was 58.3%, 36.2%, and 20.5%, respectively, in chronic hepatitis B (CHB). For 2D-SWE and MRE, the summary AUROCs were 0.89 and 0.97, 0.95 and 0.97, and 0.94 and 0.97 for significant fibrosis, advanced fibrosis, and cirrhosis, respectively. The summary AUROCs using APRI and FIB-4 for detecting significant fibrosis, advanced fibrosis, and cirrhosis were 0.76 and 0.75, 0.74 and 0.77, and 0.77 and 0.82, respectively. The summary AUROCs of King's score for detecting significant fibrosis and cirrhosis were 0.77 and 0.83, respectively.

MRE and 2D-SWE may show the best diagnostic accuracy for predicting fibrosis in CHB. Among the three serum markers, King's score may be more useful for diagnosing fibrosis.

This cross-sectional survey was based on a convenience sample of PTs, who answered a questionnaire about 1) sociodemographic and professional characteristics, 2) clinical characteristics and information related to COVID-19, 3) psychosocial demands, and 4) 10-item Perceived Stress Scale (PSS-10). Full responses were obtained from 417 PTs. The average PSS-10 score was 19.2 (95% CI 18.5 to 19.9), which was higher than in other Brazilians before COVID-19 and figured among the highest one observed in healthcare workers from different countries during COVID-19 pandemic. After multivariate analysis, PTs' perceived stress remained associated with female sex, younger age, previous diagnosis of depressive or anxiety disorder, worsening in sleep patterns, large reduction in family income, housework, relationship with the partner, concern about close people/family members being infected by SARS-CoV-2, and loneliness.
