Cou was conjugated to short self-assembly peptides with a hydrophilic ALP-responsive group. By ALP triggering, EISA actuated a nanoparticles-nanofibers transition at low peptide concentrations followed by monomer-excimer transition of Cou. Analysis of structure-property relationships revealed that the self-assembly motif was a prerequisite for peptides to induce the monomer-excimer transition of Cou. In total 17 compounds were identified via GC/MS, representing 94.18 % of the entire oil, with phytol (40.37 %) being the dominant constituent. Bioassay revealed that the EO inhibited root elongation of Medicago sativa and Amaranthus retroflexus by 32.66 % and 61.86 % at 5 mg/mL, respectively; meanwhile, the major component phytol also exhibited significant phytotoxic activity, suppressing radical elongation of Pennisetum alopecuroides, M. sativa and A. retroflexus by 26.08 %, 27.55 % and 43.96 % at 1 mg/mL, respectively. The fact that the EO showed weaker activity than phytol implied that some constituents might trigger antagonistic action to decrease the oil's activity. Our study is the first on the chemical profile and phytotoxic effect of H. trionum EO.

To evaluate the dosimetric and image-guided radiation therapy (IGRT) performance of a novel generative adversarial network (GAN) generated synthetic CT (synCT) in the brain and compare its performance for clinical use including conventional brain radiotherapy, cranial stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS), planar, and volumetric IGRT.

Nevertheless, OMPs retain the ability of independent self-assembly in vitro. Hence, it is unclear whether substrate-chaperone dynamics is influenced by the intrinsic ability of OMPs to fold, the magnitude of BamA-OMP interdependence, and the contribution of BamA to the kinetics of OMP assembly. We addressed this by monitoring the assembly kinetics of multiple 8-stranded β-barrel OMP substrates with(out) BamA. We also examined whether BamA is species-specific, or nonspecifically accelerates folding kinetics of substrates from independent species. Our findings reveal BamA as a substrate-independent promiscuous molecular chaperone, which assists the unfolded OMP to overcome the kinetic barrier imposed by the bilayer membrane. We additionally show that while BamA kinetically accelerates OMP folding, the OMP primary sequence remains a vital deciding element in its assembly rate.
