The DT-P2PET scheme uses Ethereum-blockchain-based Smart Contracts (SCs) and InterPlanetary File System (IPFS) for the P2P energy trading. Furthermore, a recommender mechanism is also introduced in this study to increase the number of prosumers. The Ethereum SCs are designed and deployed to perform P2P in real time in the proposed DT-P2PET scheme. The DT-P2PET scheme is evaluated based on the various parameters such as profit generation (for prosumer and consumer both), data storage cost, network bandwidth, and data transfer rate in contrast to the existing approaches.Several studies have already analysed power output in running or the relation between VO2max and power production as factors related to running economy; however, there are no studies assessing the difference in power output between shod and barefoot running. This study aims to identify the effect of footwear on the power output endurance runner. Forty-one endurance runners (16 female) were evaluated at shod and barefoot running over a one-session running protocol at their preferred comfortable velocity (11.71 ± 1.07 km·h-1). The mean power output (MPO) and normalized MPO (MPOnorm), form power, vertical oscillation, leg stiffness, running effectiveness and spatiotemporal parameters were obtained using the Stryd™ foot pod system. Additionally, footstrike patterns were measured using high-speed video at 240 Hz. No differences were noted in MPO (p = 0.582) and MPOnorm (p = 0.568), whereas significant differences were found in form power, in both absolute (p = 0.001) and relative values (p < 0.001), running effectiveness (p = 0.006), stiffness (p = 0.002) and vertical oscillation (p < 0.001). selleck products By running barefoot, lower values for contact time (p < 0.001) and step length (p = 0.003) were obtained with greater step frequency (p < 0.001), compared to shod running. The prevalence of footstrike pattern significantly differs between conditions, with 19.5% of runners showing a rearfoot strike, whereas no runners showed a rearfoot strike during barefoot running. Running barefoot showed greater running effectiveness in comparison with shod running, and was consistent with lower values in form power and lower vertical oscillation. From a practical perspective, the long-term effect of barefoot running drills might lead to increased running efficiency and leg stiffness in endurance runners, affecting running economy. The design and usage of the addressed combined fiber-optic sensors (ACFOSs) and the multisensory control systems of the greenhouse gas concentration on their basis are investigated herein. The main development trend of the combined fiber-optic sensors (CFOSs), which consists of the fiber Bragg grating (FBG) and the Fabry-Perot resonator (FPR), which are successively formed at the optical fiber end, is highlighted. The use of the addressed fiber Bragg structures (AFBSs) instead of the FBG in the CFOSs not only leads to the significant cheapening of the sensor system due to microwave photonics interrogating methods, but also increasing its metrological characteristics. The structural scheme of the multisensory gas concentration monitoring system is suggested. The suggested scheme allows detecting four types of greenhouse gases (CO2, NO2, CH4 and Ox) depending on the material and thickness of the polymer film, which is the FPR sensitive element. The usage of the Karhunen-Loève transform (KLT), which allows separating each component contribution to the reflected spectrum according to its efficiency, is proposed. In the future, this allows determining the gas concentration at the AFBS address frequencies. The estimations show that the ACFOS design in the multisensory system allows measuring the environment temperature in the range of -60…+300 °C with an accuracy of 0.1-0.01 °C, and the gas concentration in the range of 10…90% with an accuracy of 0.1-0.5%.For 5G and future Internet, in this paper, we propose a task allocation method for future Internet application to reduce the total latency in a mobile edge computing (MEC) platform with three types of servers a dedicated MEC server, a shared MEC server, and a cloud server. For this platform, we first calculate the delay between sending a task and receiving a response for the dedicated MEC server, shared MEC server, and cloud server by considering the processing time and transmission delay. Here, the transmission delay for the shared MEC server is derived using queueing theory. Then, we formulate an optimization problem for task allocation to minimize the total latency for all tasks. By solving this optimization problem, tasks can be allocated to the MEC servers and cloud server appropriately. In addition, we propose a heuristic algorithm to obtain the approximate optimal solution in a shorter time. This heuristic algorithm consists of four algorithms a main algorithm and three additional algorithms. In this algorithm, tasks are divided into two groups, and task allocation is executed for each group. We compare the performance of our proposed heuristic algorithm with the solution obtained by three other methods and investigate the effectiveness of our algorithm. Numerical examples are used to demonstrate the effectiveness of our proposed heuristic algorithm. From some results, we observe that our proposed heuristic algorithm can perform task allocation in a short time and can effectively reduce the total latency in a short time. We conclude that our proposed heuristic algorithm is effective for task allocation in a MEC platform with multiple types of MEC servers. The relationship between beehive weight and traffic is a fundamental open research problem for electronic beehive monitoring and digital apiculture, because weight and traffic affect many aspects of honeybee (Apis mellifera) colony dynamics. An investigation of this relationship was conducted with a nondisruptive two-sensor (scale and camera) system on the weight and video data collected on six Apis mellifera colonies in Langstroth hives at the USDA-ARS Carl Hayden Bee Research Center in Tucson, Arizona, USA, from 15 May to 15 August 2021. Three hives had positive and two hives had negative correlations between weight and traffic. In one hive, weight and traffic were uncorrelated. The strength of the correlation between weight and traffic was stronger for longer time intervals. The traffic spread and mean, when taken separately, did not affect the correlation between weight and traffic more significantly than the exact traffic counts from videos. Lateral traffic did not have a significant impact on weight.Population aging requires innovative solutions to increase the quality of life and preserve autonomous and independent living at home. A need of particular significance is the identification of behavioral drifts. A relevant behavioral drift concerns sociality older people tend to isolate themselves. There is therefore the need to find methodologies to identify if, when, and how long the person is in the company of other people (possibly, also considering the number). The challenge is to address this task in poorly sensorized apartments, with non-intrusive sensors that are typically wireless and can only provide local and simple information. The proposed method addresses technological issues, such as PIR (Passive InfraRed) blind times, topological issues, such as sensor interference due to the inability to separate detection areas, and algorithmic issues. The house is modeled as a graph to constrain transitions between adjacent rooms. Each room is associated with a set of values, for each identified person. These values decay over time and represent the probability that each person is still in the room. Because the used sensors cannot determine the number of people, the approach is based on a multi-branch inference that, over time, differentiates the movements in the apartment and estimates the number of people. The proposed algorithm has been validated with real data obtaining an accuracy of 86.8%.In this study, the development of a multi-layer marking toolkit was investigated to improve construction quality and mitigate the problem of irregular designs in the layout-printing work performed at construction sites. The quality of conventional layout-printing work is dependent on the skill of the worker, and construction quality can suffer owing to inconsistencies in drawings resulting from human error. In this study, these problems were analyzed, and a construction-site-layout-marking toolkit apparatus and mechanical unit, with a structure that allowed for multi-layer installation for automated implementation at construction sites, were developed. The marking toolkit and mechanical unit with the multi-layer structure were developed in a modular form so that each module can operate independently. Furthermore, each module was developed in manual mode to improve the system by acquiring information on the movement of the marking toolkit and multi-layer structure. Additionally, data on the layout-printing method was developed by connecting the system via Ethernet and operating a wireless joystick. Finally, experiments were performed on a road surface covered with B4 paper and concrete panels to confirm the operational feasibility of the system, which was developed to operate manually.A quantum illumination radar uses quantum entanglement to enhance photodetection sensitivity. The entanglement is quickly destroyed by the decoherence in an environment, although the sensitivity enhancement could survive thanks to quantum correlations beyond the entanglement. These quantum correlations are quantified by the quantum discord. Here, we use a toy model with an amplitude damping channel and Lloyd's binary decision strategy to highlight the possible role of these correlations from the perspective of a quantum radar.Since February 2020, the world has been engaged in an intense struggle with the COVID-19 disease, and health systems have come under tragic pressure as the disease turned into a pandemic. The aim of this study is to obtain the most effective routine blood values (RBV) in the diagnosis and prognosis of COVID-19 using a backward feature elimination algorithm for the LogNNet reservoir neural network. The first dataset in the study consists of a total of 5296 patients with the same number of negative and positive COVID-19 tests. The LogNNet-model achieved the accuracy rate of 99.5% in the diagnosis of the disease with 46 features and the accuracy of 99.17% with only mean corpuscular hemoglobin concentration, mean corpuscular hemoglobin, and activated partial prothrombin time. The second dataset consists of a total of 3899 patients with a diagnosis of COVID-19 who were treated in hospital, of which 203 were severe patients and 3696 were mild patients. The model reached the accuracy rate of 94.4% in determining the prognosis of the disease with 48 features and the accuracy of 82.7% with only erythrocyte sedimentation rate, neutrophil count, and C reactive protein features. Our method will reduce the negative pressures on the health sector and help doctors to understand the pathogenesis of COVID-19 using the key features. The method is promising to create mobile health monitoring systems in the Internet of Things.
