Moyamoya syndrome is a cerebrovascular disorder characterized by bilateral stenosis and occlusion of the internal carotid arteries and their branches. A 45-year-old woman with a history of systemic lupus erythematosus was admitted for recurrent ischemic strokes. Magnetic resonance (MR) angiography revealed moyamoya-like vasculopathy. Black-blood gadolinium-based contrast-enhanced MR images showed strong, concentric enhancement along the occluded arteries, which suggested vasculitis as the etiology of moyamoya-like vasculopathy. Intensive immunosuppressive therapy combined with anticoagulation therapy and rehabilitation led to a favorable outcome in this case. Black-blood MR imaging can be a non-invasive and prompt imaging modality when central nervous system vasculitis is suspected.Dictyochaeta (Chaetosphaeriaceae) is a phialidic dematiaceous hyphomycete with teleomorphs classified in Chaetosphaeria. It is associated with significant variability of asexual morphological traits, which led to its broad delimitation. Multigene phylogenetic analysis revealed that D. cylindrospora belongs to the Vermiculariopsiellales, and a new genus Tubulicolla is introduced.

Atypical teratoid/rhabdoid tumor (AT/RT) is well documented in children but less so in adults because of its rarity.

We report a series of five cases, a literature review and quantitative analysis of the survival outcome of adult AT/RT patients.

Seventy-four patients including our five cases (male female = 16 58) were evaluated, whose median age was 32.5 years (18-80 years). The commonest location was the sellar region. Median overall survival (OS) was 12.5 months (0.5-204.00 months). Chemotherapy was associated with OS (HR 0.349, 95%CI 0.176-0.694,

 = 0.003), while other factors did not influence OS. From Kaplan-Meier analysis, surgery combining postoperative chemotherapy and radiotherapy was associated with better prognosis (Log Rank

Transdiagnostic factors, such as anxiety sensitivity, could be an important component to understand how individuals experience COVID-19 specific fear, depression and anxiety. A US representative sample (5,023) completed measures including the Anxiety Sensitivity Index-3, the Fear of COVID-19 Scale, the Generalized Anxiety Disorder-7 and the Patient Health Questionnaire-8. Analyses controlled for age, sex, race, marital status, education level, working status, household income, and COVID-19 exposure. Results were consistent with prediction. First, higher ASI-3 Total scores were associated with above average COVID-19 fear (β = 0.19). Second, the ASI-3 physical concerns subscale was the strongest predictor of COVID-19 fear; one SD increase on the ASI-3 physical concerns subscale was associated with almost a twofold risk of reaching above average levels of COVID-19 (OR = 1.93). Third, higher ASI-3 Total scores were associated with higher anxiety (β = 0.22) and depression (β = 0.20). Finally, COVID-19 fear mediated the relationship between ASI-3 Total scores and anxiety (17% of effect mediated) as well as ASI-3 Total scores and depression (16% of effect mediated). These data support the role of anxiety sensitivity in predicting fear of COVID-19 and resulting mental health.

The coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic has led to increases in felt negative affect for many. This is concerning as individuals at increased risk for mental health issues are often more likely to use substances to cope with stressors.

The aim of the current study is to examine whether communities reporting an increased risk for developing mental health issues showed differential patterns of legal cannabis use as the pandemic began. A secondary goal is to examine the feasibility of using anonymized location data to uncover community consumption patterns of potential concern.

Anonymized location data from approximately 10% of devices in the United States provided a count of the number of visitors to 3,335 cannabis retail locations (medical and recreational) each day from December 1

2019 through April 2020. Visitor counts were merged with the average number of mentally unhealthy days (aMUDs) reported in the Federal Information Processing Standard (FIPS) county the retailer was located along with FIPS county population and poverty rate estimates. A Poisson spline regression predicting visitors by day, aMUDs, as well as their interaction was performed, entering population and poverty rate as covariates.

As the pandemic began communities reporting a greater aMUDs showed greater visitation to cannabis retailers.

These results suggest that the COVID-19 pandemic may have led to increased legal cannabis use in at risk communities. They also highlight the value anonymized location data can provide policymakers and practitioners in uncovering community level trends as they confront an increasingly uncertain landscape.

In India, most food handlers are adolescents and young adults who might be exposed to unsatisfactory environmental conditions and poor water quality. This increases the risk of HAV infection and consequently compounds the risk of HAV transmission from food handlers to susceptible populations. Given the shift in hepatitis A endemicity from high to intermediate levels in India, implementing the vaccination of food handlers has become important as it can also contribute to the elimination of hepatitis A in India. This narrative review makes a case for hepatitis A immunization of food handlers in India considering the growing food industry, evolving food culture, and the substantial burden caused by hepatitis A outbreaks.Traumatic stress is associated with risk of psychiatric and physical illnesses. However, the differential and separable effects of past versus recent traumas on maladaptive coping and neural responses are not known. We conducted two studies to assess separate and combined effects of cumulative recent and past trauma on health outcomes (study 1) and on neural responses to acute stress exposure in a subsample of individuals (study 2). Study 1 assessed a large cohort of 677 community adults cross-sectionally, and findings indicated that both high recent (within the last 12 months) and past trauma (prior to the last twelve months) were associated with more physical and psychological symptoms, including increased depression (all p's less then .05). However, recent trauma alone was associated with higher problematic alcohol use, a greater maximum number of alcohol drinks consumed, greater emotional eating scores, higher state and trait anxiety scores, and poorer lifestyle habits (all p's less then .05). Past trauma alone was associated with higher BMI, decreased social support, and a lower average cortisol relative to ACTH ratio (all p's less then .02). Study 2 involving a functional brain scan on a subsample (N = 75) indicated greater recent trauma was associated with a hyperactive response in the ventromedial prefrontal cortex (VmPFC) to neutral-relaxed exposure, but blunted VmPFC response to acute stress exposure (p  less then  .05 whole brain corrected-WBC). By contrast, high past trauma was associated with a hyper-sensitized neural response to stress in the cortico-limbic-striatal regions (p  less then  .05, WBC) critical for reward and emotion processing.
