The clinical nutrition-eating disorders-unit in Raymond Poincaré Hospital is a reference center for the management of severe malnutrition and its complications in patients with anorexia nervosa (AN). The purpose of this study is to specify socio-demographic, anamnesic and clinical characteristics of AN patients hospitalized for extreme malnutrition, to identify types and prevalence of medical complications presented during their hospitalization for refeeding and the evolution of patients nutritional status.

Demographic, clinical and paraclinical data of 354 severely malnourished AN patients were collected, during their first hospitalization in the unit, between November 1997 and January 2014, through medical records. The prevalence of medical complications was compared between the 2 AN subtypes (restricting and binging-purging).

339 patients were female and mean age was 28.7±10.7 years old. Duration of AN was 9.5±9 years, 173 (48.9%) patients had a restricting AN subtype. Ruboxistaurin in vivo BMI at admission was 12.2±1.6kgal nutrition unit have severe and frequent medical complications. Psychiatric comorbidities are also frequent and could complicate medical care. A specialized and multidisciplinary management of these patients is therefore essential.

AN patients hospitalized for severe malnutrition in a specialized clinical nutrition unit have severe and frequent medical complications. Psychiatric comorbidities are also frequent and could complicate medical care. A specialized and multidisciplinary management of these patients is therefore essential. In the present study, pentastomids belonging to the order Cephalobaenida were isolated from the lungs of Berber skinks Eumeces schneideri (Famiy Scincidae), which were morphologically described by light and scanning electron microscopy and taxonomically justified by 18s rDNA molecular analyses of the parasites. Seventeen host specimens were collected from well-vegetated wadis at high altitudes, Jizan, Saudi Arabia as new type locality; twelve specimens (70.59%) were infected. All of the recovered parasites were adults, possessed small broadly triangular cephalothorax flattened on the ventral surface and merged smoothly with a uniformly thick and squat abdomen and terminated in a pair of divergent lobes. The results obtained indicated that the parasites belong to the sharp-tipped posterior-hook Raillietiella spp. distinguished from other raillietiedids of the same group some important characteristic features including annulus number, shape and dimensions of the buccal cadre, copulatory spicules, and anterior aited in GenBank under Accession number MK970649.1. The present molecular analysis was the first to confirm the taxonomic position of R. aegypti isolated from the host examined.By adding medical service centres (MSCs) to their range of services, hospitals can participate in the outpatient sector. The aim of the MSC guideline (2004) was to ensure high quality health care in rural areas. It is unknown if organizational or regional factors influence hospitals providing services via MSCs. Our analyses focus on the identification of factors that explain the operation of an MSC by hospitals. The data are based on the mandatory structured quality reports of German hospitals (n = 1,605). These organizational data (teaching status, size and ownership) are supplemented by settlement structure and contextual data (e.g., location, doctor density). We estimated a cross-sectional multilevel logistic regression model to identify determinants of hospitals operating MSCs. In 2017, 27% of 1,605 hospitals had one or more MSCs. On an organizational level, for-profit ownership (-) and the number of beds (+) were significant determinants of providing MSCs. The analyses show that the interaction between settlement structure and ownership has an influence on the operation of an MSC. Organizational factors determine the provision of MSCs, with regional determinants playing a role as well. This indicates that hospital behaviour is difficult to predict and that individual factors shape both profit orientation and responsibility for sufficient health care in the region.

The National Academies of Medicine describes clinician burnout as a serious threat to organizational health, including employee turnover.

To determine the relationship between resilience, burnout, and organizational and position turnover.

We surveyed direct care nurses in three hospitals 1 year apart between 2018 and 2019; 1,688 nurses completed 3,135 surveys included in analysis.

Fifty-four percent of nurses in our sample suffer from moderate burnout, with emotional exhaustion scores increasing by 10% and cynicism scores increasing 19% after 1 year. The impact of burnout on organizational turnover was significant, with a 12% increase in a nurse leaving for each unit increase on the emotional exhaustion scale, though it was not a factor in position turnover.

These findings contribute to the growing body of evidence of nurse burnout and support policies and programs for annual measurement of burnout, increased employee wellbeing support, and improved work environments.

The objective of this work was to determine whether compulsory psychiatric treatment is applicable in France to patients with an addiction. To this end, several questions were formulated, at the legislative level and in terms of professional recommendations. Our secondary objective was to analyse those practices epidemiologically and in terms of evaluating their impact.

Using the PRISMA method for systematic research, documents were selected from the following databases regulatory (Legifrance), scientific societies [High Authority for Health (HAS), French Society of Emergency Medicine (SFMU), French Society of Alcohology (SFA)]; concerning our secondary objective (epidemiological and evaluative) documents from several data bases [Public Health Database (BDSP), Psy Health Foundation, EM-Premium, Pubmed] were reviewed.

The search retrieved 163 documents, of which 13 were included based on examination. Legislative texts and professional recommendations do not exclude involuntary commitment to treatment in case of an addictive disorder.
