89 and 0.79 in our training and testing sets, respectively. A GWAS on the LIME approximate identified a strong statistical association peak (rs1424597 p = 5.3 × 10-7) at the PLXNA4 locus. Homozygote carriers for the rs1424597-A allele were then more frequently observed in PE than in DVT patients from the MARTHA (2% vs. 0.4%, p = 0.005) and the EOVT (3% vs. 0%, p = 0.013) studies. In a sample of 112 COVID-19 patients known to have endotheliopathy leading to acute lung injury and an increased risk of PE, decreased PLXNA4 levels were associated (p = 0.025) with worsened respiratory function. Using an original integrated proteomics and genetics strategy, we identified PLXNA4 as a new susceptibility gene for PE whose exact role now needs to be further elucidated. In this work, the mutual arrangement of polyelectrolytes of multilayer polyelectrolyte microcapsules (with layers-[PAH/PSS]3PAH) by determination of the dissociation level of polyallylamine (PAH) from the surface of a polyelectrolyte microcapsules (PMC) of various types was studied PMC with a dissolved CaCO3 core after preparation, PMC with an undissolved CaCO3 core and PMC with an encapsulated protein. It was concluded that the polyelectrolyte layers are mixed in the entire shell of the capsules with a dissolved CaCO3 core. In the case of the PMC with an undissolved CaCO3 core, such mixing of polyelectrolyte layers does not occur. That fact allows us to conclude that the mixing of polyelectrolytes layers mixing at the stage of dissolution of CaCO3 core. The PMC with encapsulated protein has partial mixing of polyelectrolytes layers. That phenomenon may be due to the fact that seven-layered protein-containing microcapsules already have a dense and well-formed shell. The obtained data correlate with the data on the study of the surface charge of microcapsules.Coating matching design is one of the important parts of ship coating process design. The selection of coating matching is influenced by various factors such as marine corrosive environment, anti-corrosion period and working conditions. There are also differences in the coating performance requirements for different ship types and different coating parts. At present, the design of coating matching in shipyards depends on the experience of technologist, which is not conducive to the scientific management of ship painting process and the macro control of ship construction cost. Therefore, this paper proposes a hybrid algorithm of fuzzy comprehensive evaluation and collaborative filtering based on user label improvement (IFCE-CF). Based on the analytic hierarchy process (AHP), the evaluation index system of coating matching is constructed, and the weight calculation process of fuzzy comprehensive evaluation is optimized by introducing the user label weight. The collaborative filtering algorithm based on matrix decomposition is used to realize the accurate recommendation of coating matching. Historical coating process data of a shipyard between 2010 and 2020 are selected to verify the recommendation ability of the method in the paper. The results show that using the coating matching intelligent recommendation algorithm proposed in this paper, the root mean square error is less then 1.02 and the mean absolute error is less then 0.75, the prediction accuracy is significantly better than other research methods, which proves the effectiveness of the method.Temporomandibular joint (TMJ) replacement with an implant is only used when all other conservative treatments fail. Despite the promising short-term results, the long-term implications of TMJ replacement in masticatory function are not fully understood. Previous human and animal studies have shown that perturbations to the normal masticatory function can lead to morphological and functional changes in the craniomaxillofacial system. A clearer understanding of the biomechanical implications of TMJ replacement in masticatory function may help identify design shortcomings that hinder their long-term success. In this study, patient-specific finite element models of the intact and implanted mandible were developed and simulated under four different biting tasks. In addition, the impact of re-attaching of the lateral pterygoid was also evaluated. Selleckchem MG132 The biomechanics of both models was compared regarding both mandibular displacements and principal strain patterns. The results show an excessive mediolateral and anteroposterior displacement of the TMJ implant compared to the intact joint in three biting tasks, namely incisor (INC), left moral (LML), and right molar (RML) biting. The main differences in principal strain distributions were found across the entire mandible, most notably from the symphysis to the ramus of the implanted side. Furthermore, the re-attachment of the lateral pterygoid seems to increase joint anteroposterior displacement in both INC, LML and RML biting while reducing it during LGF. Accordingly, any new TMJ implant design must consider stabilising both mediolateral and anteroposterior movement of the condyle during biting activities and promoting a more natural load transmission along the entire mandible.Even though dried sperm is not viable, it can be used for fertilization as long as its chromatin remains intact. In this study, we investigated drying- and temperature-induced conformational changes of nucleic acids and stallion sperm chromatin. Sperm was diluted in preservation formulations with and without sugar/albumin and subjected to convective drying at elevated temperatures on glass substrates. Accumulation of reactive oxygen species was studied during storage at different temperatures, and the sperm chromatin structure assay was used to assess DNA damage. Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy was used to identify dehydration and storage induced conformational changes in isolated DNA and sperm chromatin. Furthermore, hydrogen bonding in the preservation solutions associated with storage stability were investigated. Reactive oxygen species and DNA damage in dried sperm samples were found to accumulate with increasing storage temperature and storage duration. Non-reducing disaccharides (i.e., trehalose, sucrose) and albumin counteracted oxidative stress and preserved sperm chromatin during dried storage, whereas glucose increased DNA damage during storage.
