We further validated TET1 interactions with selected partners. Overall, this comprehensive analysis of the endogenous TET1 interactome during oligodendrocyte differentiation suggest its novel mechanism in regulating oligodendrocyte homeostasis and provide comprehensive insight into the molecular pathways associated with TET1.There is both uncertainty regarding the safety of clozapine in COVID-19 patients owing to limited published data and a lack of consensus on continuing clozapine in patients with severe respiratory infections. COVID-19 is known to induce an acute immune response which can affect haematological parameters associated with clozapine monitoring, and systemic infection may reduce clozapine clearance. Clozapine, which has been associated with worse outcomes in some pneumonias, may in theory worsen outcomes in COVID-19. Despite these concerns, there are some data to indicate it is safe to continue clozapine in COVID-19 infection. In this retrospective case series, we describe our experiences of clozapine prescribing and disease progression of eight SARS-CoV-2 positive patients on medical wards in a major London teaching hospital. In four cases clozapine was stopped during the hospital admission. A COVID-19 pneumonia developed in four patients three of these required intensive care unit admission for an average of 34 days. At the time of writing, three patients had died (two directly from COVID-19 pneumonia), two remained in general hospital wards, two were recovering in the community and one had been transferred to an inpatient psychiatric hospital. Follow-up length varied but in each case was not more than 104 days. Delirium was the most common adverse neuropsychiatric event, and in one case a relapse of psychosis occurred after cessation of clozapine. This retrospective case series illustrates the safe use of clozapine during COVID-19 infection. Our experiences suggest that consideration should be made to continuing clozapine even in those most unwell with COVID-19. We also identify areas which require larger scale hypothesis-testing research.

Drug related problems (DRPs) occur frequently among psychiatric patients due to common prescribing errors and complex treatment schedules. Clinical pharmacists (CPs) are thought to play an important role in preventing DRPs and, consequently, to increasing the quality of inpatient care. There is, however, limited information available on DRPs within the psychiatric field in Denmark. NVP-2 The aim of this study was to identify rates and correlates of pharmacotherapy-related problems among psychiatric inpatients in a Danish psychiatric hospital.

A retrospective descriptive study was conducted by two CPs and data were obtained from the medical records available in two psychiatric wards. Chart-reviews were conducted for the period of June 2015 to February 2017. The analyses focussed on the prevalence of DRP categories, implementation and acceptance rates, and drugs associated with the DRPs. Extracted data were discussed with the wards' physicians and registered in a DRP-database.

In total, 607 medical records werebe paid to olanzapine, quetiapine and pantoprazole. Strategies to minimise DRPs among psychiatric patients are warranted and CPs can play an important role.

There is limited data from large naturalistic studies to inform prescribing of long-acting injectable medication (LAIs). Guidance is particularly rare in the case of primary mood disorders.

This study describes prescribing trends of LAIs in 3879 patients in Quebec, Canada, over a period of 4 years. Health register data from the Quebec provincial health plan were reviewed.

In this specific registry, 32% of patients who received LAIs drugs for schizophrenia had a confirmed diagnosis of bipolar disorder and 17% had a diagnosis of major depressive disorder. Non-schizophrenia syndromes were preferentially prescribed risperidone long-acting antipsychotic, whereas patients with schizophrenia were prescribed an excess of haloperidol decanoate. Patients with non-schizophrenia disorders prescribed long-acting antipsychotics were more frequently treated in primary care compared with patients with schizophrenia.

Data from a large number of patients treated naturalistically in Quebec with long-acting antipsychotics suggests that these compounds, prescribed to treat symptoms of schizophrenia and schizoaffective disorders, were maintained when mood symptoms emerged, even in cases when the diagnosis changed to bipolar disorder. This pragmatic study supports the need to explore this intervention as potential treatment for affective disorders.

The risk of agranulocytosis restricts the use of clozapine, but, where this occurs, cautious re-challenge with granulocyte stimulating factor can be successful. We present a unique case of a patient who developed early-onset PD on a background of antecedent treatment-resistant schizophrenia, who had been treated effectively with clozapine for over 15 years with no adverse events. However, during a hospital admission intended to optimise her Parkinsonian medications, she developed persistent neutropenia necessitating clozapine discontinuation. Numerous attempts to re-challenge with clozapine failed until augmentation with lithium and G-CSF was trialled. Two doses of G-CSF led to a sustained increase in the neutrophil count, allowing the continuation of clozapine therapy in the 1 year of follow up. This illustrates the potential for G-CSF to be used to facilitate clozapine use in a patient population not described previously. Neutrophil augmentation allowed the sustained continuation of this effective therapy, treating her psychotic symptoms without detriment to her movement disorder. We suggest that G-CSF might be considered as a treatment option in other cases where clozapine-associated neutropenia obstructs its use.
