Albums
Toto's discography includes 13 studio albums as well as 4 live albums. There are also a few compilations. Toto has released original music as well as collaborated with other artists on soundtracks and films. The band has received multiple Grammy Awards.
Before the formation of Toto the group, members worked as sessions for other musicians. Drummer Jeff Porcaro, bassist David Hungate and keyboardist David Paich (the son of session percussionist Marty Paich and brother of guitarist Joe Porcaro) played on Boz Scaggs' 1975 album Silk Degrees. The group's collaboration led to formation of Toto in the year 1976.
Turn Back, Toto's third studio album, was criticized by critics due to the absence of hit singles. In 1985 the group's lead singer Fergie Fredericksen left The band held auditions to find a new frontman. The band chose guitarist Steve Lukather, and recorded Fahrenheit in 1986.
In 1998, Toto celebrated its 20th anniversary by scouring through old demos and tapes to release a special record called Toto XX. The album was well-received by fans and the band went on a tour with former members Bobby Kimball, Steve Porcaro, and Joseph Williams.
Shem Von Schröck replaced Leland Sklar as drummer on the tour in support of the 40 Trips Around the Sun album. In 2017, Toto released the double-CD set Falling in Between. It included live recordings from the tour as well as an interview with the group.

Toto is a rock band from the United States. It was formed in Van Nuys in Greater Los Angeles in 1977. The group is comprised of six members: vocalist/guitarist Steve Lukather, bassist David Paich, keyboardist/vocalist Steve Porcaro, drummer Jeff Porcaro, and guitarist and vocalist Joseph Williams. The band's diverse mix of influences has made them one of the most well-known groups ever. The music of the group was featured in more than 200 movies and television shows which included The Godfather & The Prince of Egypt.
The band Toto IV released in 1983 earned them international praise. Following 첫가입 꽁머니 embarked on a world tour in support of it. The tour was interrupted when Bobby Kimball, the lead vocalist, was arrested for drug-related charges. At the conclusion of the tour, the band decided to let him go, and they hired singer/guitarist Joseph Williams to take his place. David Hungate, the drummer also quit the band following the tour. Leland Sklar took over his place.

Toto has released a variety of music videos. The band has released a number of compilation videos and DVDs. The most watched video by the band is "Africa" which has more than one billion views. The video is set in a library with the band performing atop a stack of African books.
The song "Africa" is from the album Toto IV. It was written by the band members and produced by David Paich. It was a big hit in Europe and other countries. The success of the single helped Toto to regain their fame following their previous album Turn Back failed to chart in America.
Following the release of the album, Toto went on a world tour. The group featured touring musicians Lenny Castro and Shannon Forrest. Warren Ham, Shem von Schröeck, and Shem von Schroeck were also in the group. In addition guitarist Steve Lukather released his second solo album, Luke.
In 1985 In 1985, drummer Fergie Frederiksen quit Toto due to personal reasons. Toto held an audition to find the replacement for Frederiksen.

Toto, known for the hit single "Africa" The group recently joined forces to promote their upcoming album, All In. The album came out on November 6, 2018, and included three songs from the forthcoming 40 Trips Around the Sun, as well as completed recordings of four older tracks that featured Jeff Porcaro on drums and either Mike or Steve Porcaro on bass. The album also featured an original cover version of Weezer's song “Hash Pipe” which the band added after hearing it on the radio.
