The study had as objective to evaluate occupational hazards on grain storage unit to define a conceptual model, implemented in an algorithm to manage the grains storage facilities safety standards compliance. Sampling points location were defined for static quantification of noise, dust and heat stress hazards in grains pre-processing operations to indicate the effectiveness of the control measures implemented. Safety standards applied to grain handling and storage facilities were identified and selected. Chart flows were elaborated to the algorithm logics and conceptual modeling. The highest level of noise was present in the grain cleaning operation (99.1 dB), while the expedition operation has the highest level of dust (20.27%). The heat stress was present in the grain drying operation (43.64 WBGT). Noise analysis did not show a difference between grains, only between operations. The flow of corn grain mass caused higher dust concentrations in the expedition operation. The method applied to characterize and quantify the hazards in grain storage units was satisfactory, and it is recommended as standard, for use in corn and soybean grains handling and storage units. The algorithm to manage occupational safety at storage facilities collaborates to monitor the safety compliance on postharvest operations.EDM is the most popular unconventional machining process. The present technology of EDM consists of a pulsed or capacitive type power supply in which the pulsed type power supply is more popular and effective. The following essential component of an EDM is its servo mechanism, which controls the gap between the electrodes and maintains the gap voltage. A low machining speed, complex power supply, and servo mechanism increase the cost of machining and the maintenance cost of an EDM machine. To resolve the above issues from the EDM, a novel servo mechanism has been developed, which is simple in design and low in cost and has the capacity to use direct current as a power source. The current work elaborates a brief description of the novel servo mechanism and its feasibility analysis. Pure DC power is employed with the conjunction of Maglev lucidity to refine the shortcomings of conventional micro EDM. The novel technology addresses the prime concerns of conventional micro EDMs and deficiencies such as the delayed response of mechanical actuators and a servo mechanism. The novel technology uses the logical arrangement of permanent magnets and electromagnets to address inadequacies such as short circuiting and arcing. The work outlook is to establish the viability of the novel Maglev EDM by a comparison with a similar range of parameters. The results on the novel technology showed an improved material removal rate (MRR), which was in the range of 76.6 μgm/min, whereas the specific energy and surface roughness were 33.4 Joule/microgram and 4.3 μm, respectively, while machining commercially pure titanium. The oxidative coupling of methane (OCM) converts CH4 to value-added chemicals (C2+), such as olefins and paraffin. For a series of MnTiO3-Na2WO4 (MnTiO3-NW) and MnOx-TiO2-Na2WO4 (Mn-Ti-NW), the effect of loading of MnTiO3 or MnOx-TiO2, respectively, on two different supports (sol-gel SiO2 (SG) and commercial fumed SiO2 (CS)) was examined. The catalyst with the highest C2+ yield (21.6% with 60.8% C2+ selectivity and 35.6% CH4 conversion) was 10 wt% MnTiO3-NW/SG with an olefins/paraffin ratio of 2.2. The catalyst surfaces with low oxygen-binding energies were associated with high CH4 conversion. Stability tests conducted for over 24 h revealed that SG-supported catalysts were more durable than those on CS because the active phase (especially Na2WO4) was more stable in SG than in CS. With the use of SG, the activity of MnTiO3-NW was not substantially different from that of Mn-Ti-NW, especially at high metal loading. Is terrorism just another form of criminal activity, as many nations' justice systems assume? We offer an initial answer using face-to-face interviews and structured surveys in thirty-five Spanish prisons. Recent theories of extreme sacrifice inform this direct observational and comparative study. Islamist terrorists display levels of self-sacrifice for their primary reference group similar to that of Latino gangs, but greater willingness to sacrifice for primary values than other inmates (non-radical Muslims, Latino gangs, and delinquent bands). This disposition is motivated by stronger perceived injustice, discrimination, and a visceral commitment to such values (risk/radicalization factors). Nevertheless, state authorities, prison staff, and families are (protective/de-radicalization) factors apt to reduce willingness to sacrifice and keep foreign fighters, now being released in large numbers, from returning to terrorism.Parkinson disease (PD) is the second most common neurodegenerative disease; the evidence suggests that lncRNAs and miRNAs play an important role in regulating the PD-related genes. The purpose of this research was to introduce two novel lncRNAs as the biomarker of PD diagnosis and treatment. We evaluated the expression profiles of six nodes of two regulatory networks in the PBMCs which had been got from 38 PD patients and 20 healthy individuals by qRT-PCR. Then, we compared the expression of these RNAs in both early and late stages of PD with the controls to determine if their expression could be related to the severity of disease. Further, this study investigated the direct interaction between one of the lncRNAs and target miRNA by using the dual luciferase assay. The results of the expression profiles of six nodes of the two ceRNA networks shown that linc01128, hsa-miR-24-3p and hsa-miR-30c-5p expression were significantly downregulated. While, the Linc00938, LRRK2 and ATP13A2 expression were up-regulated in the PBMC of the PD patients, in comparison to the controls. In addition, this study demonstrated that linc00938 directly sponged hsa-miR-30c-5p. The present study, therefore, for the first time, revealed two candidate lncRNAs as the biomarkers in the PD patients. The emergence of carbapenem-resistant Acinetobacter baumannii (CRAB) has been increasingly reported, leading to greater challenges in treating infections. With the development of phage therapy and phage-antibiotic combinations, it is promising to improve the treatment of bacterial infections. In the present study, a novel vB_AbaP_WU2001 (vWU2001) phage-specific CRAB with a genome of 40,792 bp was isolated. Genomic analysis disclosed that it belongs to the Autographiviridae family of the order Caudovirales. Phage vWU2001 had a broad host range with a high adsorption rate, short latent period, large burst size and good stability. The phage could reduce preformed biofilms and inhibit biofilm formation. The combination of phage vWU2001 and colistin had significantly higher bacterial growth inhibition activity than that of phage, or colistin alone. The efficacy of the combined treatment was also evaluated in Galleria mellonella. Evaluation of its therapeutic potential showed that the combination of phage and colistin resulted in a significantly greater increase in G. mellonella survival and in bacterial clearance, as compared with that of phage or colistin alone, indicating that the combination was synergistic against CRAB. The results demonstrated that phage vWU2001 has the potential to be developed as an antibacterial agent.Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) are widely used for their antipyretic, analgesic, and anti-inflammatory properties. However, various aspects of NSAID-induced lower gastrointestinal tract injury remain unclear, and effective prophylaxis has not been established. Based on its pharmacological effect and clinical trials, rebamipide may prevent lower gastrointestinal tract injury, although this evidence is limited by the small scale of trials. The present study used the FDA Adverse Event Reporting System (FAERS) and the Japanese Adverse Event Reporting Database (JADER) to assess the efficacy of rebamipide in combination with loxoprofen and diclofenac in preventing NSAID-induced lower gastrointestinal tract injury. The calculated reporting odds ratio and 95% confidence interval (CI) for rebamipide in combination with loxoprofen and diclofenac were 1.15 (95% CI 0.88-1.51) and 1.28 (95% CI 0.82-2.01) for FAERS, and 0.50 (95% CI 0.35-0.71) and 0.43 (95% CI 0.27-0.67) for JADER, respectively. No signal was detected when combining drugs. These results suggest a prophylactic effect of rebamipide on NSAID-induced lower gastrointestinal tract injury.Serine phosphorylation is one type of protein post-translational modifications (PTMs), which plays an essential role in various cellular processes and disease pathogenesis. Numerous methods are used for the prediction of phosphorylation sites. However, the traditional wet-lab based experimental approaches are time-consuming, laborious, and expensive. In this work, a computational predictor was proposed to predict serine phosphorylation sites mapping on Schizosaccharomyces pombe (SP) by the fusion of three encoding schemes namely k-spaced amino acid pair composition (CKSAAP), binary and amino acid composition (AAC) with the random forest (RF) classifier. So far, the proposed method is firstly developed to predict serine phosphorylation sites for SP. Both the training and independent test performance scores were used to investigate the success of the proposed RF based fusion prediction model compared to others. We also investigated their performances by 5-fold cross-validation (CV). In all cases, it was observed that the recommended predictor achieves the largest scores of true positive rate (TPR), true negative rate (TNR), accuracy (ACC), Mathew coefficient of correlation (MCC), Area under the ROC curve (AUC) and pAUC (partial AUC) at false positive rate (FPR) = 0.20. Thus, the prediction performance as discussed in this paper indicates that the proposed approach may be a beneficial and motivating computational resource for predicting serine phosphorylation sites in the case of Fungi. Although the experimental data is widely available in literature, this replacement mechanism has not been elucidated at molecular level. In this contribution, we perform the microsecond level molecular dynamic simulations to evaluate two different CH4-CO2 replacement mechanisms (i) direct CH4 displacement from hydrate structure, and (ii) dissociation of existing methane hydrate followed by a reformation of mixed CH4-CO2 hydrates. For this, we analyze CH4-CO2 replacement in three different modes i.e., CO2 as a replacing agent in (i) absence of free water molecules, (ii) presence of free water molecules, and (iii) presence of salt ions and free water molecules. Despite slow kinetics in the first mode, pure CO2 is observed to replace the methane more efficiently, while in the second mode, CO2 forms a new mixed hydrate layer on the existing seed crystal.
