What Are the Different Types of Codes and How Do They Work?

Modern car keys come with unique chips that are unique to each vehicle, which is not the case with older keys. This prevents thieves from simply taking the key and then turning on the car.

These keys are available at the dealership or cloned at the locksmith's shop. The method of programming the key is different for each manufacturer and involves turning the key to the off position, without triggering the engine, and then removing it after a specific time frame.

Transponder Codes
