Car Seat Buggy 2 in 1 - Combos That Are Easy to Use
The Car Seat Buggy 2 in 1 combines two of the most important baby items: infant car seats and strollers. It makes it much easier to get on and off public transportation (and walk up and down stairs).
Doona's infant car seat and stroller combination is a great choice. It's the first fully integrated travel system that allows you to switch from the car seat to the stroller without causing disruption to your baby.
Easy to Use
Parents should have a stroller and car seat combination that is simple to use. These travel systems allow you to switch between running errands, walking the dog, or taking an exercise. You can also keep track of the changing needs of your child so you can take your family on adventures. These travel systems glide effortlessly and smoothly, regardless of whether they have one front wheel or two. The Thule Urban Glide 2 Combo and the BOB Alterrain pro combo and the Baby Jogger City Mini GT 2 Combo are simple to maneuver. But even the BOB Revolutionflex 3.0 Combo and Baby Jogger City Mini GT 2 Combo can be moved with one hand.
2 in 1 stroller with car seat can be difficult to remove or attach from the base. The Doona Combo, for example requires a two-step attach procedure and straps that are placed over the infant's bottom portion. It may be tempting to skip these steps, but this could result in dangerous results.
In the same way, some models are difficult to fold away and store, which makes them less convenient than others. The Graco FastAction 3-in-1 Car Seat Stroller, for instance, is difficult to fold due to its huge dimensions and bulky frame. This model also has a tiny canopy, which some users find to be disappointing. However the Britax Parkway Click and Go Combo is simple to fold with just the pull of an lever and the push of the button. It is also a good choice for parents who intend on using their car seat on other people's vehicles because it can be quickly detached from the base and then attached to any stroller that is standard.
Easy to Fold
If you're storing your car seat on its own or in the trunk of your car or even in the closet, it should be easy to fold and unfold. The best combos we've tested feature simple one-handed fold that is compact and durable enough to be used on long strolls. They're also easy to move and glide smoothly over uneven surfaces. Some combos can only be linked and disengaged by straps. This may seem like a step in the back and make it more difficult for parents to secure their child's car seat correctly.
The BOB Revolution Flex Combo is a fantastic choice due to its robust construction and convenient features, including a large storage bin that can be accessed from either the front or back. Its exclusive SafeCenter LATCH makes it easy to achieve a secure car seat installation simply by connecting the lower anchors by pulling the straps tightly and then pressing the carrier into the base.
It's also relatively lightweight and compact, making it an excellent option for frequent travellers or families with multiple vehicles. The Baby Jogger City Mini GT 2 Combo and the Thule Urban Glide 2 have also scored highly in our tests of user-friendliness. Both have one wheel that's simple to push with one hand. Both have one front wheel that is easy to push (one-handed!). 2 in 1 stroller and car seat come with a flexible spinner wheel, ideal for shopping or running errands. The only downside is that they're heavy and it can be difficult to lift them up when you're carrying a child in the car seat.
Easy to Assemble
Some stroller and car seat combinations can be difficult to assemble. The UPPAbaby Cruz v2 Combo is one of the most simple travel systems to assemble. It comes with a helpful guide. Other models, including the UPPAbaby Minu and UPPAbaby Vista V2 Thule urban Glide 2 and Baby Trend Snap-N-Go EX Universal were also easy to put together. The BOB Revolution Flex 3.0 Combo however is a bit difficult to put together. It requires two steps: attaching the lower anchors, and using straps that cover the bottom of the carrier. It's heavy, which means it requires two people to secure the carrier into the base, and then remove it.
In our tests we took about 5 minutes to put the UPPAbaby Cruz v2 together, which is quite rapid when you consider the amount of time it can save by not having to remove each piece. Most of these models have an easy process for attaching and detaching the toddler seat, but there are other options as well.
