The goal of this whitepaper is to increase awareness among healthcare professionals, device manufacturers, regulators, and pharmaceutical/biotech companies on the potential issues around the use of CSTDs with biologic drug products to allow their informed use in clinics. Specifically, we discuss the key topics related to the use of CSTDs with biologics products, including components and materials of construction, a breakdown of regulatory, technical, clinical site-related risks and challenges associated with the use of CSTDs with biological products, gathered from stakeholder discussion at the IQ CSTD workshop, and considerations on current testing requirements and communication strategies to drive further dialog on the appropriate use of CSTDs. Given the technical challenges of using CSTDs with biologics, coupled with the current regulations surrounding CSTD approval and proper use, as well as a need for alignment and standardization to enable a consistent strategy for compatibility testing and communication of incompatibilities, it is recommended that global health authorities and other stakeholders seek to understand these issues, in order to alleviate these problems and keep healthcare workers and patients safe from harm.While free thiols in monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) have been extensively characterized by in vitro studies to probe its effect on antibody function and stability, their in vivo biotransformation has not been comprehensively studied. In this study, a panel of five recombinant IgG1 mAbs with elevated free thiols in the VH, VL, and CH2 domains were intravenously administered into Wistar rats. In vivo biotransformation of thirty-five free thiol sites in total (7 disulfide pairs in VL, CL, VH, CH1, HH, CH2, CH3 domains across the 5 mAbs) were monitored using a denaturing differential isotopic tagging procedure on immunopurified timepoints followed by LC-MS of tryptic digests. The free thiol levels in two VH domain and one CH2 domain disulfide sites decreased in vivo following first order kinetics. Free thiol levels of the remaining 32 sites were remarkably stable in vivo. Further analytical characterization highlighted a positive association between a free thiol's solvent accessibility and a free thiol's reoxidation propensity. In the past decade, epidemiological and toxicological studies on liver damage caused by MCs have proliferated, and new mechanisms of hepatotoxicity induced by MCs have also been discovered and confirmed. However, there has not been a comprehensive and systematic review of these new findings. Therefore, this paper summarizes the latest advances in studies on the hepatotoxicity of MCs to reveal the effects and mechanisms of hepatotoxicity induced by MCs. Current epidemiological studies have confirmed that symptoms or signs of liver damage appear after human exposure to MCs, and a long time of exposure can even lead to liver cancer. Toxicological studies have shown that MCs can affect the expression of oncogenes by activating cell proliferation pathways such as MAPK and Akt, thereby promoting the occurrence and development of cancer. The latest evidence shows that epigenetic modifications may play an important role in MCs-induced liver cancer. MCs can cause damage to the liver by inducing hepatocyte death, mainly manifested as apoptosis and necrosis. The imbalance of liver metabolic homeostasis may be involved in hepatotoxicity induced by MCs. In addition, the combined toxicity of MCs and other toxins are also discussed in this article. The associations between the determined socioeconomic status and childhood overweight/obesity at age 1 and 2 were examined by log-binomial model. Parallel and serial mediation analyses were performed to test the indirect effects of potential mediators, including maternal pre-pregnancy body mass index, gestational weight gain, and infant birth weight, in the association between socioeconomic status and childhood overweight/obesity. Four clusters, defined as low, low-medium, medium-high, and high socioeconomic groups, were identified through clustering analysis. Hukou, among five socioeconomic components, contributed the most to the development of childhood overweight/obesity. Children in the low-medium socioeconomic group have a greater risk of overweight/obesity than the low socioeconomic group. Indirect effects of maternal pre-pregnancy body mass index, gestational weight gain, and infant birth weight were identified for the association. To describe the adaptations made to implement virtual cancer rehabilitation at the onset of the coronavirus disease 2019 pandemic, as well as understand the experiences of patients and providers adapting to virtual care.

The majority of program visits could be adapted to virtual delivery, with format, setting, and content modifications. Virtual care demonstrated an increase or maintenance in the number of completed visits by appointment type compared with in-persomats to deliver cancer rehabilitation programming. Based on our findings, we provide practical recommendations that can be implemented by providers and programs to facilitate the adoption and delivery of virtual care.

We assessed the children at the baseline and after 8 weeks of intervention. The primary outcome measures were the Jebsen-Taylor Hand Function Test, Duruoz Hand Index (DHI), and Canadian Occupational Performance Measure (COPM). The secondary outcome measures were range of motion (ROM) of the digits, grip strength, and pinch strengths (tip, palmer, and lateral pinch).
