Since this refrigerator is more, I'd expect higher quality.
Aside from that blip, this fridge is a fantastic choice. It has a large freezer compartment, which is unusual for counter-depth French door fridges. It also has a large capacity for frozen food items compared to other models.
Inside the fridge, you'll find 17 shelves and compartments. The fridge compartment is 18.5 cubic feet, which is standard for a French-door fridge at this price. It comes with a decent size freezer in the left side. But it's not the biggest one I've seen.
You can adjust the shelves in both compartments to create customized storage layout for whatever you have to store. The interior design of the GE PYE22PYNFS is attractive, too. Its LED lighting is a nice touch and the inside storage bins come with an additional shelf that can fold down to make it possible to store large items. The drawers are equipped with temperature controls, so you can set them for Meat, Beverage, or Deli settings. They're easy to open and close, although I found their plastic textured coatings to be a bit hard on the fingers.
The GE PGE29BYTFS Smart Refrigerator comes with the complete set of features you'd expect from a fridge in this price range with Wi-Fi and app support via GE's SmartHQ software. The app is available on iOS and Android devices and lets you control your refrigerator from any place in the globe. It also offers many options for customization. It also gives you notifications when doors are left open, when the fridge or freezer needs to be defrosted and when it's time to change the filter.
It would be great to have GE PYE22PYNFS had Precise Fill which is a feature available in a handful of GE refrigerators that allows users to select how many cups they want to disperse. It does offer a countdown feature on the display of the fridge to display how much water have left, but it's not as useful as Precise fill.
Bosch Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator
The Bosch French-door Refrigerator is a stunning piece of equipment. It's designed to look like it's a seamless component in your kitchen. The fridge uses fingerprint-resistant stainless steel, which is a great feature for busy households. It also has a vegetable compartment that keeps vegetables and fruits fresher for longer, and two compressors to preserve food. The Ice maker is among the most efficient we've ever tested and produces pyramid-shaped Ice with low water usage. This fridge is ideal for a single household or a kitchenette with an elegant design and top of the highest quality food preservation.
The fridge was rated the best refrigerator in our Refrigerators Test for various reasons. The temperature of the freezer remained constant at just above 0°F and never fluctuated more than a fraction - this is essential to avoid the risk of a freezer burn. The fridge's refrigerator section also performed well, reaching the desired initial set temperature within an hour and keeping that temperature steady over the course of our testing.
Bosch is a household name for its high-end appliances. It's therefore no surprise that Bosch counter depth refrigerator is one of them. Bosch counter depth refrigerator can be connected to your home Wi Fi and Bosch's Home Connect. The app allows you to monitor and control your refrigerator remotely on your tablet or smartphone. The fridge is expensive and has great features and capabilities at a fair price.
While the fridge is an amazing piece of equipment however, it is important to understand the limitations. It has a limited shelf space, so you'll need to be creative when storing tall objects. The shelves aren't spillproof and can easily be stained or damaged by sharp items. The trays can be easily removed from the refrigerator. However, they should be cleaned frequently to stop the growth of mold.

LG Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator
The LG LRFLC2706S counter-depth fridge is a great choice for those who require a lot of space in the space of a compact frame. It has a sleek, fingerprint-resistant stainless-steel finish and features thick handles that make them comfortable to grip. Inside, the fridge has the standard French-door layout, with gallon-sized door bins at each door, two rows of shelves that capture spills and a set of more spacious drawers. The top shelf to the right can be folded in order to create more space for tall items. There's also a full-width drawer for deli items and an internal water dispenser.
One of the best things about this refrigerator is that its Ice maker is located in the freezer, making it easy to transfer the ice to the refrigerator to use as needed. The freezer also comes with clever design features, like sliding drawers that can help you organize your belongings. It also has a huge bin that can accommodate plenty of frozen food items and an additional container for storing ice.
Smart InstaView panel is another cool feature of the refrigerator. It lets you manage the refrigerator's temperature and lighting from your smartphone. It's a good way to monitor and manage your refrigerator, especially when you're away from home.
The Smart InstaView feature is neat but it doesn't improve the performance of the fridge. The refrigerator took longer to chill food and defrost it than other models we test. This is probably due to its larger capacity.
Another issue with this refrigerator is its doors. The handles with a sunken design allow shorter people to open them from the bottom. However taller people have a difficult time closing them without slamming. It would have been much better if they had front-mounted handle.
The LG Counter-Depth MAX fridge is a great choice for those who want to combine the look of a French door refrigerator with a more efficient design. It has a capacity that is superior to counter-depth models, and it cools evenly. It's also less expensive than the most expensive counter depth refrigerators that have an ice maker, which makes it a great choice.
Frigidaire Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator
If you're looking for a French door fridge that doesn't break the bank and isn't expensive, this Frigidaire is a solid option. It's a basic design that isn't as visually striking like some of the competitors however it comes with enough features to make it a solid option. Its most notable feature is the adjustable temperature drawer, helps to keep food like meat and vegetables fresher for longer. It also comes with a large ice maker and a water dispenser.
Another feature that is worth mentioning is the "Chill Drawer" that sits above the two crisper bins. This drawer lets you redirect some of the fridge's cooling power directly to this area, which means you can store foods that require extra attention. This feature is adjustable using an outside slider that is located inside the drawer. You can also use this to adjust the general cooling settings for the entire fridge, though I've found that adjusting the general settings tends to have a better effect than specific ones.
During my tests, the refrigerator's temperatures were fairly constant across the different areas of the fridge. The temperatures in the middle, top and bottom of the refrigerator did not differ significantly from 38 degrees. This is a great performance, but does not quite make it to the top of our ratings.
This fridge has a few other neat features, including a temperature-monitoring display that alerts you to fluctuations and provides a forecast for the day ahead. The fridge can be linked with a smart thermostat in order to get more accurate readings on the internal temperature of your fridge.
The exterior of the Frigidaire is made of grey-bodied stainless that has a "smudge resistant" finish. It repels fingerprints and streaks better than other stainless steel finishes I've seen.
