Tuina is a common treatment for PAS in China. But at present, there is no systematic evaluation report on its therapeutic effectiveness and safety. This protocol aims to reveal the efficacy and safety of Tuina for treating PAS. METHODS The following databases will be searched by electronic methods PubMed, EBASE, WHO International Clinical Trials Registry Platform, Embase, the Chinese Biomedical Literature Database (CBM), Wan-fang Data (WANFANG), the China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI), and other sources from inception to December 2019. Bias risk, subgroup analysis, data synthesis, and meta-analyses will be assessed with RevMan V.5.3 software if the data is met inclusion conditions. RESULTS This study will present a quality evidence of Tuina for the treatment of PAS patients. CONCLUSION The systematic review will present reliable evidence to judge whether or not Tuina is a safe and effective intervention for PAS patients. METHODS We measured endothelin-1 (ET-1), asymmetric dimethylarginine (ADMA), vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), nitric oxide (NO), and hypoxia-inducible factor 1 (HIF-1) levels in each sample and determined flow-mediated dilation (FMD) values using a portable OMRON color Doppler with a 7.0- to 12.0-MHz linear array probe. We used the Lewis Lake score to diagnose acute mountain sickness (AMS) and to stratify the disease severity. RESULTS We found no cases of AMS at any of the studied elevation gradients. We found significant differences in FMD values between individuals when at 400 m above sea level and when at 2200, 3200, and 4200 m above sea level (P .05). NO and HIF-1 levels were significantly different in serum saelial function test instead of the detection of invasive hematologic-related factors for early diagnosis and prediction of the occurrence and severity of acute high-altitude disease is still lack of sufficient theoretical basis.Hand, foot, and mouth disease (HFMD) has spread widely and led to high disease burden in many countries. In this study, we aimed to analyze the interaction of the main pathogens of HFMD using a mathematical model.A dataset on reported HFMD cases was collected from April, 2009 to December, 2017 in Changsha City. A long-term etiological surveillance was conducted focusing on the pathogens of the disease including enterovirus A71 (EV71), coxsachievirus A16 (CA16), and other enteroviruses. CT99021 chemical structure A susceptible-infectious-recovered model was adopted to calculate the reproduction number during the ascending period of reported cases (defined as Rasc) and the descending period (defined as Rdes).About 214,178 HFMD cases (including clinically diagnosed cases and confirmed cases) were reported in Changsha City, among which 31 were death cases with a fatality of 0.01%. The number of reported HFMD cases increased yearly with a Linear model of "f(t) = 18542.68 + 1628.91t" where f(t) and t referred to number of reported cases and sequence of year, respectively. The fatality of the disease decreased yearly with a linear model of "f(t) = - 0.012 + 0.083/t". About 5319 stool or anal swab specimens were collected from the reported cases. Among them, 1201 were tested EV71 positive, 836 were CA16 positive, and 1680 were other enteroviruses positive. Rasc and Rdes of HFMD was 1.34 (95% confidence interval [CI] 1.28-1.40) and 0.73 (95% CI 0.69-0.76), respectively. EV71 and CA16 interacted with each other, and the interaction between EV71 and other enteroviruses and the interaction between CA16 and other enteroviruses were both directional. However, during the reported cases decreasing period, interactions only occurred between EV71 and other enteroviruses and between CA16 and other enteroviruses. These interactions all decreased Rasc but increased Rdes of affected pathogens. The interactions of the pathogens exist in Changsha City. The effective reproduction number of the affected pathogen is adjusted and verges to 1 by the interaction.High levels of albuminuria have been demonstrated to associate with hearing loss in non-diabetic people, while the clinical impact of low-grade albuminuria has attracted less attention. This cross-sectional population-based study aimed to examine whether hearing loss in non-diabetic United States (US) adults is independently associated with low-grade albuminuria or reduced estimated glomeruli filtration rate (eGFR).A total of 2518 participants aged 20 to 69 years were selected from the US National Health and Nutritional Examination Survey database. Participants with diabetes or high-grade albuminuria were excluded. Hearing loss was assessed using low-frequency pure-tone average (LFPTA) thresholds (0.5, 1.0, 2.0 kHz) and high-frequency pure-tone average (HFPTA) thresholds (3.0, 4.0, 6.0, 8.0 kHz). link2 Logistic and linear regression analyses were used to evaluate associations between renal function indicators and hearing loss. The median age of included participants was 37.4 years, and 55% of them were female. Multivariate analysis revealed that participants with urinary albumin-to-creatinine ratio (UACR) in the highest tertile had a significantly higher risk of hearing loss (OR, 1.79; 95% CI, 1.01-3.19) and higher HFPTA thresholds (β 2.23; SE 0.77). Participants with eGFR less then 60 mL/min/1.73 m had higher LFPTA thresholds (β 4.31; SE 1.79). After stratification by sex, a significant risk remained only for males in the highest UACR tertile, with 2.18 times the risk of hearing loss (95% CI, 1.06-4.48).Non-diabetic US males with low-grade albuminuria are at increased risk of hearing loss, independent of eGFR.The present study aims to analyze the effects of breast-conserving surgery and modified radical mastectomy on operation indexes, Symptom checklist-90 scores and prognosis in patients with early breast cancer. The clinical data of 128 patients with breast cancer who were treated in our hospital from May 2015 to May 2016 were included into the analysis. These patients were divided into 2 groups, according to the different modes of operation (n = 64) control group, patients underwent modified radical mastectomy; observation group, patients underwent early breast conserving surgery. Then, the surgical indexes and prognosis were compared between these 2 groups.Intraoperative bleeding volume, incision length and hospitalization duration were better in the observation group than in the control group (P less then .05). Furthermore, postoperative symptom checklist-90 scores in the observation group were better than scores before the operation, and were better than the scores in the control group (P less then .05). Moreover, the incidence of postoperative complications was lower in the observation group (3.13%) than in the control group (21.88%, P less then .05).Early breast-conserving surgery is more advantageous for breast cancers and results to lesser bleeding, rapid recovery, and fewer complications. The purpose of this study was to investigate metal artifact reduction effect of orthopedics metal artifact reduction (O-Mar) algorithm in computer tomography (CT) image of patients who have undergone total hip arthroplasty (THA) or total knee arthroplasty (TKA).35 cases of patients who underwent TKA or THA have been recruited in this study. CT image of hip or knee joint was obtained with Philips 256-row CT scanner. Tube voltages of 120 and 140 kilovolt peak (KVP) were set. Afterwards, CT image was reconstructed by O-Mar algorithm to reduce metal artifact. Grade of image quality and severity of metal artifact would be taken into qualitative evaluation. While, quantitative evaluation mainly included measurement of metal artifact volume and 2D measurement of average CT value in region of interest (ROI). The visibility of interface between bone-prostheses was also estimated.Result of qualitative analysis indicated that score of CT quality was improved and grade of metal artifact was decreased significantly with O-Mar. link3 Quantitative analysis illustrated that volume of beam-hardening (B-H) metal artifact decreased remarkably after reconstruction of O-Mar (P less then .001). In addition, O-Mar algorithm reduced 83.3% to 83.7% volume of photon-starvation (P-S) metal artifact. As for result of 2D measurement, CT value in ROI was closer to standard value in O-Mar group CT image (P less then .001). Meanwhile, error of CT value also decreased significantly after reconstruction of O-Mar algorithm. Visibility rate of bone-prosthesis interface improved from 34.3% (Non-O-Mar) to 66.7% (O-Mar).O-Mar algorithm could significantly reduce metal artifact in CT image of THA and TKA in both 2D and three-dimensional (3D) level. Therefore, better image quality and visibility of bone-prostheses interface could be presented. In this study, O-Mar was proved as an efficient metal artifact reduction method in CT image of THA and TKA.Lymph nodes (LN) metastasis differentiation from computed tomography (CT) images is a challenging problem. This study aims to investigate the association between radiomics image parameters and LN metastasis in colorectal mucinous adenocarcinoma (MAC).Clinical records and CT images of 15 patients were included in this study. Among them, 1 patient was confirmed with all metastatic LNs, the other 14 were confirmed with all non-metastatic LNs. The regions of the LNs were manually labeled on each slice by experienced radiologists. A total of 1054 LN regions were obtained. Among them, 164 were from metastatic LNs. One hundred nine image parameters were computed and analyzed using 2-sample t test method and logistic regression classifier.Based on 2 sample t test, image parameters between the metastatic group and the non-metastatic group were compared. A total of 73 parameters were found to be significant (P less then .01). The selected shape parameters demonstrate that non-metastatic LNs tend to have smaller sizes and more circle-like shapes than metastatic LNs, which validates the common agreement of LN diagnosis using computational method. Besides, several high order parameters were selected as well, which indicates that the textures vary between non-metastatic LNs and metastatic LNs. The selected parameters of significance were further used to train logistic regression classifier with L1 penalty. Based on receiver operating characteristic (ROC) analysis, large area under curve (AUC) values were achieved over 5-fold cross validation (0.88 ± 0.06). Moreover, high accuracy, specificity, and sensitivity values were observed as well. The results of the study demonstrate that some quantitative image parameters are of significance in differentiating LN metastasis. Logistic regression classifiers showed that the parameters are with predictive values in LN metastasis, which may be used to assist preoperative diagnosis.
