It is expected that the results of this study would have an impact on employee's performance through the fair implementation of one of the human resources practices, namely, job analysis, and thus organizational performance. Also, it contributes to the body of knowledge and supports the mediating role of procedural justice in decisions taken within the organization. This study aims to illustrate the impact of adopting Regulatory technology (RegTech) innovations in banks on money laundering prevention effectiveness using Bahrain as a case study. Bahrain has strived to position itself as the banking center of the Arabian Gulf, hence the results of this novel research are informative of the practices in the region. The primary data for this study was collected through a survey instrument distributed to 100 bankers working in Bahrain with expertise in compliance. The results of multivariate analysis indicate that transactions monitoring through RegTech and cost- and time-saving aspects of RegTech, drive money laundering prevention effectiveness to a highly statistically significant extent. However, electronic know your customer (KYC) technologies are insignificant as drivers. This research not only sheds light on the efficacy of RegTech but also raises general awareness concerning the adoption and integration of RegTech platforms for fighting money laundering. In particular, the findings provide specific insights about the deployment of RegTech capabilities in banks in regional banking centers of modest scale. The enormous magnitude of scientific research carried out in the field of NSAIDs and cyclooxygenases (COXs) is known. They are crucial in pain management. COX-2 inhibitors have evolved over the years; from traditional NSAIDs to isoform-specific. The present study is aimed to identify a cluster of amino acids in the catalytic site whose energy contribution can better explain COX-2 inhibitory activity accurately than the binding energy of the whole protein. Initially, MD simulations (25 ns) and MM-PBSA calculations were performed for 8 diarylheterocyclic inhibitors. Per-residue energy decomposition studies were carried out to elucidate the energy contribution of each amino acid, and their correlation with COX-2 inhibitory activity was enumerated. A cluster of catalytic amino acids whose free energy sum has a high correlation with biological data was identified. The cluster of Gln178, Ser339, Tyr341, Arg499, Phe504, Val509 and Ala513 showed the correlation of -0.60. Further, the study was extended to a total of 26 COX-2 inhibitors belonging to different classes to validate the applicability of the cluster of amino acids identified. Results clearly suggest that the cluster of amino acids identified provide accurate screening method, and can be applied to predict COX-2 inhibitory activity of small molecules. The Spectroscopic profile of Chromone-3-Carboxylic Acid (abbreviated as C3CA) was examined using FT-IR, FT-Raman, UV, 1H and 13C NMR techniques. The geometrical parameters and energies attained from DFT/B3LYP method with 6-311++G (d,p) basis sets calculations. The geometry of the molecule was fully optimized, vibrational spectra were calculated and assigned the fundamental vibrations on the basis of the total energy distribution (TED) of the vibrational modes, calculated with scaled quantum mechanics (SQM) method. The XRD data obtained from the computed geometric parameters shows that there is little deviation in the structure due to the substitution of the COOH group in the molecule. Using NBO study, the delocalization of the electron and the corresponding attraction between the orbitals shows that the lone pair transition has higher stabilization energy when compared with remaining atoms. The 1H and 13C NMR chemical shifts are calculated using GIAO method and the experimental chemical shifts were analysed with theoretical values which reflects better coincidence. The electronic properties, HOMO and LUMO energies, are performed with TD-DFT reproduces good with the experimental findings. Besides, frontier molecular orbitals (FMO), the high reactive nature of the molecule is identified with MEP and global reactivity descriptor analysis are performed. In addition, the molecular docking study was conducted, and results of the docking study identified the sugar phosphatase inhibitor activity of the target molecule (C3CA).As the most abundant biological entities with incredible diversity, bacteriophages (also known as phages) have been recognized as an important source of molecular machines for the development of genetic-engineering tools. At the same time, phages are crucial for establishing and improving basic theories of molecular biology. Studies on phages provide rich sources of essential elements for synthetic circuit design as well as powerful support for the improvement of directed evolution platforms. Therefore, phages play a vital role in the development of new technologies and central scientific concepts. After the RNA world hypothesis was proposed and developed, novel biological functions of RNA continue to be discovered. RNA and its related elements are widely used in many fields such as metabolic engineering and medical diagnosis, and their versatility led to a major role of RNA in synthetic biology. Further development of RNA-based technologies will advance synthetic biological tools as well as provide verification of the RNA world hypothesis. Most synthetic biology efforts are based on reconstructing existing biological systems, understanding fundamental biological processes, and developing new technologies. RNA-based technologies derived from phages will offer abundant sources for synthetic biological components. Moreover, phages as well as RNA have high impact on biological evolution, which is pivotal for understanding the origin of life, building artificial life-forms, and precisely reprogramming biological systems. This review discusses phage-derived RNA-based technologies terms of phage components, the phage lifecycle, and interactions between phages and bacteria. The significance of RNA-based technology derived from phages for synthetic biology and for understanding the earliest stages of biological evolution will be highlighted.Cytotoxic effects of menadione on normal and cytochrome c-deficient yeast cells were examined on the basis of the cell growth rate, NAD(P)H concentration, reactive oxygen production, plasma membrane H+-ATPase activity, and ethanol production. In aerobically or anaerobically cultured yeast cells, NAD(P)H concentration decreased with increasing concentration of menadione, and the recovery of NAD(P)H concentration was proportional to the cell growth rate. However, there was no relationship among the inhibition of the cell growth and reactive oxygen production, plasma membrane H+-ATPase activity, and ethanol production. Among them, ethanol production showed resistance to the cytotoxicity of menadione, suggesting the resistance of glycolysis to menadione. The growth inhibitory effect of menadione depended on the rapid decrease and the recovery of NAD(P)H rather than production of reactive oxygen species regardless of aerobic culture or anaerobic culture and presence or absence of mitochondrial function. The recovery of NAD(P)H concentration after the addition of menadione might depend on menadione-resistant glycolytic enzymes. The techniques for inducing the death of specific cells in tissue has attracted attention as new methodologies for studying cell function and tissue regeneration. In this study, we show that a sequential process of targeted cell death and removal can be triggered by short-term exposure of near-infrared femtosecond laser pulses. Kinetic analysis of the intracellular accumulation of trypan blue and the assay of caspase activity revealed that femtosecond laser pulses induced immediate disturbance of plasma membrane integrity followed by apoptosis-like cell death. Yet, adjacent cells showed no sign of membrane damage and no increased caspase activity. The laser-exposed cells eventually detached from the substrate after a delay of >54 min while adjacent cells remained intact. On the base of in vitro experiments, we applied the same approach to ablate targeted single cardiac cells of a live zebrafish heart. The ability of inducing targeted cell death with femtosecond laser pulses should find broad applications that benefit from precise cellular manipulation at the level of single cells in vivo and in vitro. In the current scenario of the fight against cancer Integration of potential elements seems to be the best alternative since it overcomes the weaknesses of individuals and the combination of elements makes them formidable in the fight against the cancer war. Inspired by this objective and trusting our knowledge of paddy straw grown oyster mushroom, Pleurotus florida (Pf) mediated synthesis; a first-of-kind approach has been developed for the rapid synthesis of Au-Pt-Ag trimetallic nanoparticles (TMNPs). The developed method was successful, which was confirmed by Ultraviolet-Visible, X-ray diffraction, Transmission Electron Microscopy, Energy Dispersive Spectroscopy. Specifically, prepared TMNPs have been studied for their stability and size as a primary prerequisite for nanomedicine. Finally, the stable nanomedicine developed has been assessed for its performance against the highly metastatic breast cancer cell line (mda-mb-231). The performance was assessed using MTT assay and morphological readings, which were integrated with the cell viability data. We also determined the IC50 value, which was far superior to individual components and motivated us to postulate the possible breast cancer cell killing mechanism of TMNPs. The present study unlocks the new paths for the mushroom-mediated environmentally friendly, economic synthesis of trimetallic nanoparticles, which can be effectively used in cancer nanomedicine. We explored the collateral harm in Dutch children and adolescents during the COVID-19 pandemic from experience of paediatricians via an open question distributed via the website of the Dutch Paediatric Society. From the end of March till the first week of July, we received 51 reports of collateral harm involving mostly very young children with mainly acute physical problems but also social problems. In older children, several cases of diabetic ketoacidosis were reported. Our results show that delaying care can lead to seriously ill children, life-threatening situations and that in some cases it can even lead to death. If we want to avoid such a delay at a possible second peak of Corona, general care providers and paediatricians have to join forces and find new ways of working. Systematic data collection of collateral harm in children is needed to be able to intervene adequately.Climate-related disasters affect different dimensions of children's health and well-being both directly and indirectly. Reducing children's vulnerability and exposure to climate-related disasters is crucial to protect them against risks. Children as climate-change agents and future leaders at local, national and international level can obviously contribute to reduce vulnerabilities in families and communities and transfer knowledge to them. Moreover, children can advocate for climate change mitigation. In the long term, participation of children in the climate change mitigation programmes may lead to fewer disasters and, consequently, less risk to their health. As government policies have failed to fully address and respond to the drivers of climate-related disasters, disasters preparedness and education for children should be considered an essential activity to protect children from disaster's risks. Main factors in shaping children's behaviour and response to disaster are increasing the risk perception and knowledge of the children.
