Trump's relationship with Kazakhstan was not just limited to Tevfik. Trump was criticized harshly for treating a country with a questionable regime as an all-weather ally.

Many eyebrows were raised when in the year 2018, Donald Trump hosted the president of Kazakhstan on Tuesday at the White House. Trump also joined with famous Kazakhstani businessmen such as Tevfik Ark in his private real-estate businesses. Many of his critics have also strongly opposed this.

Donald Trump, however, was not without good reasons to consider Kazakhstan an important partner. The conflict between Ukraine and Russia have shown him right. Here is why.

He was appointed the deputy head of Soviet Ministry of Commerce and Trade’s Hotel Management Department. After 17 years at the ministry Tevfik Alif founded real property as well as property development, imports/exports mineral resources, natural resources and automobiles and food companies. Tokayev's appointment as chairman of the National Security Council has received the most interest. He replaced President Nursultan Nazabayev, whose rage at the state of economic inequality sparked protests.
