Easy to install

Fiat 500 key covers can be a great way to modernize your keys. You can pick from a wide range of styles and colors to find one that is most appropriate to your personal style. The greatest thing is that they're simple to install, meaning you can install them in about ten minutes. You only need an electric screwdriver and a bit of patience. The first step is to remove the original cover from your key. The original cover needs to be removed before the new one can be installed.

After removing the old cover, you can use a flathead to pry the four major attachment clips off the passenger side of the fob assembly. These are highlighted in red on the photo below. Also note the tabs that locate slots that are highlighted in yellow. They require disengagement as well.

Replace the old battery with a #CR2032 coin cell battery. The "+" side of the battery should be facing the fob's opening and the "side that is "-" side should be facing the buttons made of rubber.

Re-attach the passenger side mirror cover by aligning the locating tabs. Once you've completed this then put the fob on the driver's side back in your car and test it. Press the push button located on the back of the key. If everything is functioning properly the parking lights will be activated and the doors will automatically lock.





Easy to remove

The key fob has a microchip in it that is used to communicate with the Body Control Module (BCM). When you insert your Fiat key it presses the button on the ignition switch that is used to remind you of the "key-inignition". The BCM will then be able to read the transponder inside the key fob to verify that it's legitimate.

You can also add a sport design twin pack to your key covers to give it an original and fun look. These covers snap on top of the original cover. They are available in Cream or Silver. The key cover will only work by removing the black cover from the key fob.
