The Eufy Robot Vacuum Review
Eufy robot vacuums are famous for their ease of use. The eufy RoboVac 30C is Wi-Fi enabled and comes with a wireless remote control to make it easy to use the app. It also comes with boundary strips and has a battery life of 100 minutes.
Its Boost IQ technology lets you move from tile and wood to carpeting with a low-pile and area rug without a hitch. Other features included in the standard package include obstacle and drop detection, allowing it to avoid bumping into furniture and walls.
Boost IQ Technology
The eufy robotic vacuum line has a variety of models. However, certain features are common to all models. One of them is Boost IQ technology that is designed to help your robot effortlessly move from hard flooring to low- to medium-pile carpeting and rug. It will automatically increase its suction power when it comes over a particular type of surface to ensure the best clean possible.
An important feature is the manual switch between cleaning modes. The Quick Clean mode is perfect for a quick 30 minute sweep of the floor. Auto will work in an area with a lot of space without switching modes. Edge will focus on walls and corners.
The eufy robot has all the basic features like obstacle and drop detectors as well as an auto-emptying base. The majority of robots come with an obstacle and drop detection. This prevents them hitting walls or furniture.
Many of the eufy robotics have a variety of LED indicators that can communicate with you, similar to the digital watches. A solid green signal means that the robot is in charging or standby mode. Blue indicates that it is active and functioning. A solid orange means that your eufy is out of power and needs to be returned to its original location.
The RoboVac 11S from Eufy is a highly rated model that's an ideal choice for those looking for an efficient robot vacuum that has long run times and the ability to reach the farthest corners of your home. It features an ultra-slim design that can fit under furniture and tight spaces, as well as the glass cover is tempered and scratch-resistant. It also has an actual remote control and smart sensors for navigation, and several cleaning modes. However, it lacks the same advanced features that other models in the line do, such as digital mapping or app-based control.
Powerful Suction
This vacuum cleaner features an impressive suction of 2,000 pa which is ideal to remove food crumbs, cereal crumbs and other debris or dust on medium- to low pile carpeting and hard flooring. It also collects pet hair as well as other allergens from upholstered furniture. A rotating side brush can help to get into corners and along baseboards, while the rolling brush picks dirt and other debris that clings to surfaces.
The 25C is Wi-Fi-connected and can be controlled using an app on your smartphone or via voice when paired with a smart home speaker like an Amazon Echo or Google Assistant. It also comes with a compact base for charging that can be used to store the vacuum when it is not in use.
All Eufy robot vacuums have many standard features, such as drop and obstacle detection to avoid running into objects or falling down the stairs. Certain models, such as the eufy RoboVac11S or its re-engineered predecessor the eufy RoboVac 30C Max, provide advanced navigation systems that create and store the virtual map to help it know where it is supposed to go (and avoid) each time it cleans.
You can create specific areas and customize cleaning cycles for the eufy robot vacuum, without the Alexa compatible app or voice commands. You can also cordon off rooms that contain sensitive items, such as your children's toys or console tables. This eufy comes with two boundary strips that allow you to cordon off larger areas.
The RoboVac 11S MAX from Eufy is one of the best-performing robotic vacuums that we have tested, earning high marks for cleaning capability and navigation. Its design is simple, with a single button to get it going, an on/off switch below for a permanent shut-off. It also features a tempered-glass surface and ten sensors to steer away from obstacles, and a 0.15 gallons/0.6 liter dust bin. The re-engineered navigation system is fitted with iPath laser scanning technology that creates and stores an image of your floor. It then uses that map to quickly navigate to each part of your home and make sure it covers every square inch of your floor.
Convenient App Control
Eufy's models have smart features that let you control your device remotely. This includes the ability to schedule cleaning times, set virtual boundaries that block your robot from entering certain areas (such as rooms that are stuffed with electrical cords), and set the return to base feature. Some of them allow you to draw a an image of the house and mark the areas you want to clean.
Some of the top-of-the line vacuum cleaners that eufy makes use of include the navigation system known as "smart mapping" that analyzes your home and creates maps it uses every time it cleans. This enables the vacuum cleaner to move seamlessly between floors that are unfinished and area rugs, and back to the beginning, without missing the step.
The RoboVac 25C from Eufy is a perfect illustration of this model. It has three distinct suction power modes you can choose from its companion app: 'Standard', 'Turbo', which enhances the performance of the machine for cleaning floors with no carpet, and 'Max', that is designed for high pile carpeting.
The battery life of the vacuum is also very good. It can operate in its default "Standard" mode for up to 100 mins. The vacuum is equipped with an inbuilt indicator for batteries that flashes blue when it's charging, then turns orange when power is low, and then solidifies blue when fully charged.
The "Spot Cleaning Mode' is another cool feature. It allows you to use the vacuum cleaner to focus on a localized area by pressing a button near the base of the. This is a great way to get pet hair or crumbs out of corners or under furniture, where a traditional vacuum might struggle to reach.
The soft RoboVac also does a fantastic job of removing pet hair from different flooring types, but it may require a few extra passes to clear stubborn patches of hair in carpeting with a high or low pile. Like many robotic cleaners, it's not as adept in getting hair out of cracks and crevices as it is on bare floors but it does a great job of picking up pet hair from bare and carpeted surfaces.
100 Minutes of Cleaning
The eufy robotic vacuum can provide an impressive 100 minutes of cleaning time, with an automatic return to its base to charge. It can be used on a variety of floors and comes with a powerful vacuum that can pick up anything from cereal chunks to glitter tiny specks. A durable brush roll and an additional side brush allow it to reach crevices and corners that might be out of reach for other robots.
The battery-powered robovac works on hard floors and carpets, and it can be controlled via the included remote control or via your smart home or smartphone assistant to transmit commands via Wi-Fi. You can also adjust Boost IQ which will optimize the suction power based on the floor type on which the vac is working.
The G30 Edge, like other robots that are eufy are designed to move around your home in a minimally-setup way. It takes only a few minutes to connect the edge brushes rotating in a circular motion and connect to your Wi-Fi network at home. Once connected, the app allows you to create cleaning routines and utilize voice commands via an intelligent home speaker compatible.
This level of personalization is available on a variety of robot vacuums that are eufy. You can choose which areas you'd like to clean and when. The app lets you define virtual boundaries that stop the robot from entering areas where there may be electrical cords, or other obstacles.
Some eufy models include an intuitive map that makes use of a combination of sensors to calculate the position of furniture and walls and shows a route for covering the area. Other models use a navigational technology called iPath, which is a more advanced. In these instances the robotic vacuum employs an algorithm to intelligently generate an iPath path, and then follows it until the designated area is covered. The robot returns to its dock, from where it is charged and awaiting its next cleaning.
Other models of the eufy robotic vacuums don't have this kind of intelligence. These entry-level models, which are typically the cheapest in the lineup they don't have the digital mapping system, but instead chart an unpredictably zig-zag route each time they start a cleaning session. Although floor care can be a bit frustrating but the eufy robot cleaner is always able to cover the same areas. Moreover, it rarely misses any corners or other hard to reach places.
